1800 points of reserve goodness, dropping in/flying on in reserves in the form of Marines and guard.
The idea is to go second, drop in after their wasted turn and tear up with melta/rapid fire.

1. You have 4 pods. Always choose a non-even number, so as to maximize your first strike.
2. Too light on troops
3. Drop tacticals need 10-man squads. A melta and 8 bolter shots will go nothing on a unit, even if they are termagants
4. If you are to use suicide melta sterns, you need 3-4 combis to make sure what you need dead becomes dead.
5. If you take 2 vendettas, 3 talons is one too much

I agree, drop a single Talon and grab a thunderfire cannon with a drop pod.

Well, thanks for your comments, they're appreciated.

1. I know the pod rule, but it's just the way the list has turned out. 3 is two few and I can't squeeze in 5 unless you have a better idea.
2. I have 5 scoring units, 3 tacticals and 2 veteran. I think that's quite considerable, considering.
3. I'm thinking of using the melta for anti-tank, and considering UM:CT, I think they'd go a good job of killing a reasonable chunk. Depending on the situation, I'd combat squad them for flexibility.
4. They aren't suicide melta sterns, I'll be using them more carefully for their special ammo. But I agree that I'd need more melta if they were to have that purpose.
5. I get where you're coming from. Though I'm using them for different purposes. The Vendetta is for vehicles, the Talons are mainly for MC and high toughness units.

and for

6. The Thunderfire wouldn't be able to fire on the turn it lands, would it not? Makes it a bit vulnerable and unable to put out it's fire power.

But if you have an alternative list, then please, post it.

And anyone else, for that matter.

You don't drop the thunder fire in, you leave it's pod empty and send it down turn 2. You only take the pod so you can drop 3 in on the first turn.....also you can put your thunder fire out of Los and it's doesn't need it to fire so it can stay safe first turn
