So here is a list I am playing with. I really love my Sisters of Battle, however their limitations were not addressed in the codex upgrade. Hence why I have put IG into the mix to fill the holes that Sisters miss, much like Tau and Eldar go together. I got the new Inquisition e-book and have been really excited about it so for funzies I put an inquisitor into the mix - plus I believe he will tie stuff together well..

Sisters Squad - 5 woman - Melta gun x2 - Immolator - Multimelta
Sisters Squad - 5 woman - Flamer x2 - Immolator - Multimelta
Sisters Squad - 10 woman, 2 flamers, Simulacrum, Veteren Sister - bolt pistol/Plasma Pistol
Heavy
Exorcist x 2

Aegis Line
Allies - IG
HQ
Lord Commissar - carapace, bolt pistol, plasma pistol
Troops
Veteran Squad - 3 Meltas

Ordo Malleus Inquisitor - Incinorator, daemon Blade, power armour
The idea is that the veterans can ride in the Vendetta or camp on objective depending on game and missions, Commissar can go with the 10 Sister Squad with Uriah, 5 priests and Inquisitor, Exorcists and Hydras are behind Aegis.
4 troops squads - 2 fragile, however it give me 2 immolators that can take out things with MM, the main squad will be good for capturing the relic or pressing a flank or center if needed - with reroll armour saves and Invulns this squad should do well at surviving and CC - esp with battle bms of priests. Hydras will aid in my anti-air, skimmer and bike job and should be able to handle waveserpents and eldar jetbikes, exorcists will be good and big tanks and MC - the only problem will be Land raiders - however that is what the multimeltas are for. I think this list can handle itself well and I will be practicing at the next opportunity - looking for tweaks or ideas for the list. Thanks and cheers all..

Pretty sure that hydras always have skyfire. But when they shoot at ground targets they need 6's to hit, or has that been faq'ed? So don't think they would help with jet bikes or skimmers

Hydras have a rule where they hit flyers, skimmers and jetbikes at normal BS and they ignore cover - so no jink or pesky holofields

Ah re read the skyfire rule, you can shoot skimmers lol just not anything else apart from flyers Automatically Appended Next Post: Btw, if you have 3 excorcists then you will have no need for hydras as 3 of them can handle most flyers. Served me pretty well up to now

Yeah that is how I had been running them - but with skimmers and their jink I like having the Hydra to deny that, plus it gives the exorcists excuses to kill other big things like MC and termies...lol

Ok well I don't think you need 2 of them for that. Don't forget your doms ignore cover with their act of faith. So I would maybe drop some/all of those priests as they don't really do anything unless the squad is in combat and that's the last place you want them. And grab a dominion squad with 4 meltas. Scouting meltas that ignore cover is deadly first turn!

Well actually the priests are wicked good in this edition. I like 5 of them so one can hymn the reroll save, one to reroll to wound and the others to Smash giving a bunch of AP2 hits at initiative. So think this is pretty good. With the Inquisitor, Jacubus and priests and even the commissar I think this will be a pretty solid list and reroll 5up invulns on the sisters, it will be a good troop choice to get the relic...

For Funsies list? Sure.
Competitive/Efficient? It could use some work.
Plasma Pistols? No thank you. These are just a bad buy.
Why a lord commissar? Why not a Primaris?
Why the Hydras? These just really aren't that good. Just throw a quad-gun on your aegis for cheaper.
Why an incinerator and daemon blade? Other than being horribly unfluffy, it's also pretty bad. How about a Hereticus with Psyker and Liber?
Why even take all of those priests and litanies? You don't have a blob squad so don't really need them. Yeah, they get you cheap fearless, I guess.
Overall, I think you need a better focus. I don't see why the guard are there other than to get a Vendetta and 2 Hydras and there are better things to do than that. I would focus on your primary more and add the Inquisition to that.

First, thanks for your input
The Primaris powers aren't that great IMO, so I wanted another member for the center blob squad.
Why all the priests - well to go with the blob squad and to soak up wounds -with reroll on jacobus and as long as I keep one Sister alive it is a great focus and objective grabbing squad. I think 10 plus Jacubus, plus 5 priests, Commissar, and Inquisitor - that will be an 18 man blob squad that could even theoretically survive helldrakes...
Why hydras - well aside from being better than 1 quad gun, they can skyfire, they hit skimmers and jetbikes at normal BS - which in the meta of eldar is awesome and it ignores cover thereby eliminating jinks of any kind - sure the bikes will get a 3up for armour, but the serpents will not. I think they are a pretty good answer for eldar and flyers something that sisters lack. Yeah the Exorcists could get lucky, yeah rending from the Retributer squad
Why the inquisitor ordo malleus - well I have the model and I like the flamer for charge protection with the 2 I already have in the squad, I like the daemon weapon as it had 2 powers that can really make the model pretty solid..
The vendetta - well until they get a new edition and the points go up (which they really need to) - I think this flyer is the best in the game - it can troop tansport, it has 3 TL lascannons, it can hover
I have considered the plasma pistols - I do not like getting hot, but it is a nice high S pistol that can hurt MC and vehicles but also count as a CC weapon for giving extra attacks...
It is not actually designed as a funzies list, however there is a tourney coming up in a few weeks and I will likely be trying it out and let you guys know how it performs. Thanks again for the comments

Heh. I could never take a Daemon Weapon on an allied inquisitor to SOB. My head would explode. I think you could do better with Liber and Grenades. Gives your blob scout and makes them a lot tougher to kill in hand to hand.

I still think the hydras are good - what would you suggest that would do better than the hydras for the sisters? I know the dominion squad can do this once potentially once more - but most of the time once the dominions are out they are being shot to hell before they can fire again. I just don't see something else that is as good as that is in this current meta - sure if Eldar skimmers and helldrakes were not common right now - I agree the hydra would not be that great of a choice. The other option would be to put space marines with sisters, but at that point might as well go all space marines as they are better than sisters in almost every way. I don't know I just want to play sisters, but have been frustrated by their performance by themselves thus far. I was hoping things would have gotten a little bit more cheaper to help offset how they are not like SM... just my opinion. Thank you again for your interests and input into this list and post - I have taken it to heart and continue to think about the changes that you have suggested.

I have been thinking and I agree the primaris psycher is probably a better choice for them. I agree a 10 man squad is not that much...probably looking to redo list
