Been throwing around a good deal of ideas for Inquisitor/Inqusistor army lists and they all seem to revolve around the Crusader with psyammo and the valk (+ w/e you want to toss inside them).

Now is the crusader with psyammo all that? It seems to cover two things very well, putting on wounds between 12-24" on infantry and just by ROF threatening fliers.

Is there any other clear cut uses for that amount of Str5-7 fire? Or is one better off going with one of the other variants?

Taking this as GK with a banisher in it can demolish a daemon army.

How does it line up to the bolter banner DA crusader spam?

I would look at both of them as options before committing to a build.

GK with Psyammo is the only way I use my once beloved Crusader.

Now I need to buy a new redeemer or Phobos for my regular marines.

The overall reduction in accurate firepower really killed the base version for me, but with Str5 Hurricanes I am happy to go with the nearly BS2(by % hit chance with the Twin linking) over nothing considering I own the model and love my paintjob.

This is my Rulebook. There are many Like it, but this one is mine. Without me, my rulebook is useless. Without my rulebook, I am useless.

I'd say they are designed totally differently Labmouse. The DA one is designed as strictly fire support. The GK/Inquisitorial one should also be delivery systems since they can carry some of the most cost effective CC units in the game.

So it depends on what you want in the rest of your army.

As for the OP the LRC is great but is limited to 24" (or 12" where it's really effective). Which means it's going to fall into range pretty easy of things that can hurt it back or hurt it first like Grav-gun bikers/Centurions or Riptides w/Fusion Blasters. It's a solid unit but you need to make sure you still have range to allow you wiggle room in how you play.

The original idea for the LRC was going to be two of them with DCA/Priest/Crusaders, two valks with troop and Coteaz with a plasma squad in a chimea (leaving 250 points at 1500).

That does lack some long range firepower :/

YOu;re talking Inquisition...unless it's a GodHammer or an Orbital Strike...it isn't ranged.

To be fair, the inquisition has space apes which shoot to 48 inches. Also plasma cannons, heavy bolters, hell rifles, henchmen psyker squads and probably a couple of other things are 36 inches.

So...Godhammers and Orbital Strikes...for long range firepower.

Haha...the hell rifle is decent and servitors can be useful...but jokaero are best used for boosting other henchmen's mid-range shooting and psyker squads...are psyker squads.

I have a static GK-Inquisitor line. This one is trying to be full mech.

Could run Coteaz as GK and put some rifle dreads in, add a bare costed inquistor elsewhere.. or toss in jokearo's in chimeras and hope to get the range extend power.

Fair plan.

Also gives you the option for a StormRaven.

Well it's an empty Fast Attack choice...are you sure you can't put an Inquisition unit in it?

It certainly feels like the Inquisition.

You're biggest threat is definitely Necrons though.

I'll take that as a failed apology from you. Apology accepted.
