This is a crazy idea I've had for a while, but never wanted to spring on someone, nor have the funds to build.

The concept behind the list is to play Tau while making Tyranid ask why they are outnumbered by monstrous creatures. There are two lists included, a 2000 point list, Taudum 7, and a 2500 point list, Taudum 9. Taudum 9 has questionably legality of the Farsight Enclave being able to take R'varnas, however, it is too crazy awesome to not at least mention.

Mobile Battlesuit: Taudum 7
1999 points
Primary Detachment - Tau Empire
HQ
- Ethereal

Troop
- Kroot x10 + Hound
- Kroot x10

Elite
- Riptide, IA VT
- Riptide, IA EWO
- Riptide, VT

Heavy
- R'varna
- R'varna
- R'varna

Allied Detachment - Farsight Enclave
HQ
- Ethereal

Troop
- Crisis Suits x3, Missile Pods x2 VT

Elite
- Riptide

This list as a bit of anti air units to take down FMC from assaulting, but lacks any real force multipliers and troops at 2000 points.

Minimum troops, bare bone units, this is like a party of tanks who forgot to invite any wizards or rangers.

Way to many riptides....
I don't think anyone would have fun playing against or with that list.
Just my opinion tho haha
Plus thats like $700-900 worth of riptides :p
I don't like the idea of allied tau with farsight enclaves either but thats just me :p

This is more something that's a fun concept or a "list to beat" idea. Maybe something that people would try to fight against for an event. I personally love the idea of Gundam vs 40k.
I did say I wouldn't have enough money to field this, unless I became amazing at kit-bashing.

Tau and Farsight allies can create some nice lists that aren't nearly as beardy as this, thought are not as good as Taudar.

A D weapon is a bit extreme outside of Apoc. Though with more then half your army at 2000 points jammed into just two vehicles, LoS blocking terrain should give enough time for the Riptides to close distance/deep strike to punch/shoot them to death. Also since the Shadowsword has the same BS as a Riptide, it also has just as much chance as missing unless you remove its lascannons.

Actually that would make for an interested fight.
