So ive been colecting nids for a bit now trying to get a working list together, 5 tervigons sounds super appealing to me however i haven't seen lists with that yet. average of 40 termigaunts a turn even with the risk of doubles skins horifying

You can fit 5 Tervigons and 3x10 Termagants into 1,000 points.
Want to play a real list? Take 10 Tervigons a 2,000 points using a second FOC. Now that's a list.

Yeah, it's also gonna cost you ~$600 just for the Tervigons. Best case you're talkin ~$480. Not to mention the 400+ gants you need @ ~$24 per 12....

That was my first list I ever played when this codex came out in 5th.
I ran 5 in 2000 points against an army of Russ Punishers.
I covered 75% of the board by the end.
To be fair... FnP was 4+ then and cover rules were better for termagants.

Also... it will cost you friends... Having the first turn you decide to spawn take ~1hr is a real buzz kill. (albeit hilarious. I tried this with a couple proxy tervs and reserved all the gants and my WL terv. Dropped 100 gants turn 3 right in the heat of assault.)

Average on 3 dice is 10.5...so you should be getting an average of 52-53 termagants on the first turn.

In a 5 terv list, yes.
Also, consider not birthing turn 1, and instead using the first couple turns to move+run into a nasty surprise assault from those 50+ termagants (and your big bad mommas). Given the ease you can give yourself FNP (the catalyst power in a list like this), surviving isn't as big an issue unless you are playing against a lot of grav or JotWW. You can almost treat your tervs as pseudo dedicated transports, birthing whenever necessary.
