Hey guys, I'm trying to figure out the advantages of the typhoon missile launcher. In general I've found when there are two of a weapon like there are with the typhoon missile launcher it is a twin-linked weapon, but I can't find anything that says that it is. I am talking about the kind of the Land Speeder Typhoon found in the dark angel codex if that helps. Thanks in advance!

No they are not. Look at the LS entree on the codex

It does not matter how many of a weapon is on a model, it only matters if the codex's entry tells you the weapon is twin-linked.

8th made it so I can no longer sway Tau onto the side of Chaos, but they will eventually turn aside from their idea of the Greater Good to embrace the Greatest of pleasures.

Once upon a time, Typhoon Missile Launchers were twin-linked and only fired S5 blasts. Now they fire two frag or krak missiles. Quite the upgrade, actually.

Indeed. Instead of giving you one twin-linked shot, they took it up a notch and gave two standard shots.

Stop looking for buzz words and start reading the whole sentences.

Unless something states it is twin-linked, it is never twin linked (outside variables apply of course).
