Ok first thing first. Your list is illegal as all your suits have 4 hard points filled when they can only have 3. A twin linked weapon takes up 2. A support system takes up 1 aswell so in fact your regular suits have 5 filled up. Also don't mix weapons on your suits. Have a squad with tl plasma and plasma and have a squad with tl missle and missle. Also you have stim injectors all nearly all your suits which is a massive waste of points. Drop them all and put them on your riptides instead, helps negate wounds from nova reactor.

Also there's no marker light support at all. Drop the shielded missile drones on your riptides and take more missile drones on the broadsides instead of shield drones

I would also drop a fire warrior squad in favour of pathfinders nd completely redo your Commander( fusion blaster, iridium armour, nuroweb jammer and a drone controller) and take two marker drones to help army synergy

I don't think anyone has mentioned you can't missile drones on commanders, only broadsides can take them.

Also your tanks should always have disruption pods, the AV n Hammerheads and Skyrays are pretty good but a cover save always helps.

Shield drones on Broadsides are a waste of points imho.

Where does it say that only broadsides can have missile drones?? It just says two drones from the list and I can't find any restrictions on the drone page ??

Your HQs ability to dish out fire power is being wasted, the drone controller is only really worthwhile taking if you're going to attach him/her to a squad with additional drones or take a squad of them

Early warning override doesn't really fit the role these guys should be doing, they should be in the face of the opposition not sitting back and attacking from afar. Plasma Rifles with Marker Light support can mean two dead marines per suit. This brings me nicely on two my next point don't make Plasma Rifles twin linked buy two separate ones you will definitely get more bang for your buck.

A few things to consider...

You have 130 points invested into an ability that will only stop damage 1/3rd of the time with Feel No Pain.

Broadsides, like Crisis suits, can only take two drones per 'Side. You cannot take 10 Missile Drones with only 3 Broadsides.

Dropping these issues could net you at least two squads of 8 Pathfinders, something that you are lacking at the moment.

Hell, drop the 'Vres and 'Uis from each unit to get yourself an ethereal to buff your 33 Firewarriors. That's 99 shots at 15 inches....

Your riptides are running illegal configurations. You cannot have 3 support systems with them, only two. Also, the points on the railhead are way off. It should only be 190 pts.

Drone controllers don't work with missile drones. The broadsides cannot take more than two drones per suit, so you cannot get the 10 you have listed there. Consider dropping stims on them and go for EWO instead, as broadsides are great interceptors with their hymp's.

Dont twin-link any guns on crisis suits. One of the best buffs the 6th ed book gave us was the ability to take two guns and shoot them. Each suit has the ability to fire two weapons, so make use of it by not twin linking your weapons.

The ain't Space Marines, but they are far from fething especially when run with an ethereal. 36 S5 shots at 15in hurts even TEQ.

Fire warriors need SMS Devilfish for mobility, protection. I'd get a couple kroot squads + hound and drop a FW squad.

If you are making the the HQ your tank hunters, I would drop all the stim injectors on the HQ and Broad sides. The points there and from dropping the extra 4 missile drones, I would make the Commander a dual TL FB suit, IA, PEN, Neurojammer. Then toss target locks on the 2 Body guards. Now you can deepstrike, and unless your dice hate you, kill up to 3 av14 units.

With the remaining points toss in an Ethereal for the 36 firewarriors and 5 Pathfinders. Your Railsides will thankyou for them.

Not anymore. With the ethereal you want them out and shooting with the Firestorm and then the Zehpyr power acts like a poor man's Battlefocus letting them run and snapshot. A fun little dual ethereal+FW spam trick is Storm from one and Zephyr from the other.

To OP what weapons do you have on your riptides, also consider making your commander a buff comander for your riptides and drop the bodyguards. Consider getting some devilfish for your troops to move them quickly and protect them. If your local gaming area has a lot IG players then keep longstrike if not then you would be better off using those points towards pathfinders.

Ok first still no pathfinders you need those markerlights man trust me I have played tau against both of these guys and you want markerlights. A good Dark Eldar player is scary and if he plays to the mission he is even scarier for he will kill all your troops and Ethereal quickly gaining an extra VP if its in the mission. Not bad load out on your riptides. The markerlights help you focus your fire power and make sure that every hit counts, because as good as tau fire power is over all it still hits on a 4+.
