Greetings,

I collect alot of armies. I have a painted SM Army. ( The Lamenters ). A painted Necron army ( For my current Adepticon list ) Both can be seen on my Lamenter Blog. I also collect a lot of other armies as eventually I'd like to have options for when I game. Orks, Nids, some IG and Tau, and well as the start of a Chos SM ( Red Cosairs ). Still My next army will be Eldar.

What Models do I have? Several Wave Serpents, Several Vipers, Wraithknight, Guardians x10 w support battery. 5 Avengers. 6 jet bikes
What will I be getting in the future.. Wraithguard. Farseer, Warlocks and Crimson hunter, wraithlord and some Warp spiders.

Here is the first Wave Serpent.

Thanks.. this is going to be half of a larger army. The color scheme will be the same except My primary color will be white, turquose secondary. My buddy in primary turquose and white as the secondary.

Next up a second Wave Serpent, then 2 vipers. followed by the WraithKnight.
Winter frees up some free time !! just have to stay warm.

Here is a pic of my my Friend's wraithknight.. Mine will be simular but reversed colors..

Wave Serpent looks good. Simple and clean.

Wraithknight looks too plastic-like. Missing highlights and shading.

Beautiful work on the wave serpent SL.

The wave serpant looks good!
Are you painting with a brush or airbrush on that? Can't really tell with that picture.

I think the wraithknight needs some work but nothing a little detail and highlight work can't fix keep it coming!

Mainly Airbrushed. But a lot of detail stuff is brush painted. Thanks CBRM,

By Air Brush. All the white edges are blended a bit to brighten them by regular brush.

The turquoise is 3 shades. You can see it get progressively lighter in the top pic. Spines and gun turret most notable. I’ve been finding out you that the best results are when your color modulation is more extreme. I’ll get another chance on the second one.

I'll get another crack at the wraithKnight, Both my Friends and My own now that I'm getting a " feel" for the color.

Yeah, I agree. Love the colors but will work better once you add the shading and highlights!

Do you do your blacklining with the airbrush?

All by brush.

I'm gonna push my skills on the next WS. I've primed the Hull and painted the Turquoise but this time I gonna paint it grey and shade back to white. Not sure if I'll do front to back ( whiter in front ect.. ) or back to front. Thoughts?

Good looking colour scheme - as stated before, very clean.
Maybe better pictures would help us see your colour variations though.

Check out my gallery here
Also I've started taking photos to use as reference for weathering which can be found here. Please send me your photos so they can be found all in one place!!

Thanks bubber, I actually thought the pictures were pretty good with the exception of the glare coming off the white. I still have a bit of drybrushing to do on it so I'll see if I can get a improved shot this week.

WM: I have lots of stuff to paint. I like to change out once in a while to keep me motivated. I been working with YB to get him moving. Like the color Pallet so much I was inspired to try something new.

I feel like the teal could use the panel lines the white part has.

Looking really nice. Good to see you've painted up some more stuff.
I would agree that maybe add the black panel lines to the teal blue colour or maybe just a dark blue. Overall your stuff is coming along nicely!

Thanks. Taking pictures always highlight all the things I overlooked or could clean up.

. In the meantime I'm working on assembling my Wraithknight. So in-between drying times I'll have time to go cleanup a few things

CBRM; An dark blue ink might do the trick.

Looks similar to the colour scheme I'm doing for my Eldar. I'm doing the Mymeara craftworld so I'm doing lots of turquoise and white but I'm trying to blend in some green also, but not very easy when I don't use an airbrush.
Yours are looking good, I look forward to some more pictures.

Very nice. Excellent colour scheme.
I like the clean crisp look.
(I imagine Eldar would be a clean bunch)

The only thing I would do different, is to break up the panels by adding a darker colour into the panel gaps.
Look forward to seeing some more of your work.

Shredder.. yeah you can do it without but it's a much quicker process with the AB. I'm still a novice so I'm still learning.

One of my friends is building and painting a Iybraesil army. Mine is as well but I have reversed the primary colors. so we'll be able to combine our armies to make a bigger faction that is gonna have a simular look and yet different when I play against him.

Never silly. I start with a White primer, add a drop of black to get a lt grey ( very light .. like 4:1). then to this grey I add several drops of off white. Spraying on the raised seams and flat panels. I finish off with pure Off white. I should highlight in pure white but I think its already very bright as it is.

Hope that helps... oh and I'm using an air brush, so it's easy to go back and fix something.

I agree. I do better painting crisp and neat (for me that is) rather than weathering.

As for the darker panel linings.. I getting that alot!

A wee quick wash would take care of that if you decide to do it, or even for a quick crisp & neat method, try a fine tipped pen. (Cheating I know, but can really help a panel stand out.)

The pen is a good Idea.. Since I've already sealed it. and I hate to " over spill the lines" and make it worse.

My pen of choice:
Edding 1880 Drawliner's.
The packet I got about 3 years ago, had 4 pens in it, that are still all going strong. (Although I will admit, I didn't paint for about 7 months) Life can be a bitch.
It has 4 different sizes, a 0.1, 0.3, 0.5 & 0.7.
If you only buy one, the 0.1 is obviously the most useful.

I think it looks great between panels on tanks etc.

A wee example, a Land Raider from my own Space Marine Chapter.
