I think the design has already gone to the manufacturer for preparation to begin pre-production (lots of steps before it is ready to be printed onto the mats, and we want to begin as soon as we fund). So, I am going to say no at this point (although a great idea) but if I am wrong on that, I will be sure to clarify.

I figured that, at least for the current ones. But for your future designs, might be easier to incorporate into the designs. It can be subtle - just takes a little mark in the right spots.

I really want to see the barren wasteland.

One other map 40k players might like is a post extermanatus lava and ash landscape.

They did get that suggestion on the kickstarter page and it's been filed away for future use. With all the suggestions/refinements that the community have been suggesting, I'm sure they'll have enough to keep this product line fresh for years to come!

Question about the 4x4 stretch goals, since it seems you will reach them very soon. If I pledge at the $40,000 dollar mark and the urban and alpine 4x4s are unlocked, is there a way to just indicate I want say the alpine instead of the grass one? Or do I need to pull my money out and choose another pledge level? Kind of a kickstarter noob here. Will there eventually be a pledge to buy all the 4x4 mats?

Also do you have any youtube videos up of these things? Particularly showing how flat they lay, how well they keep from sliding around, etc? I really love the look of these things, and it'd be awesome to have 4 to throw down for a bunch of quick Infinity tables.

On Kickstarter, you can change your pledge amount and/or pledge level right up to the last minute. So if a different pledge level becomes available, you can change to it, so long as you do so prior to the close of the drive.

Are you likely to be at Adepticon? And if so will you be selling product there? Or would we be able to pledge and pick it up there?

We will be at Adepticon, we want to bring some mats but that is not set in stone yet so I don't want to give you a commitment on that and not be able to deliver. We will know as get closer to Adepticon on that one, there are a lot of variables involved in us bringing mats that I can't answer right now as they aren't my call to make.

Im not going to try and understand this startkicker business but I like the look of these mats. When will it be possible to put my card details in a website and have one of these shipped to the UK? How much is a 6x4 going to cost in £ ?

The dollar right now is trading at about 61 pence for you Limeys =)

So, multiply the cost by the exchange rate and you get 58 pounds, roughly.

And, shipping is a little higher for the UK, so all in around 67 pounds I would think.

Kickstarter is USA, UK, and Canada, so all you need to do is to sign up for an account and pledge. They make it really easy.

I got lost in the mid thread complaining/ hug fest etc. Any chance you could say if a general space type map that was being discussed earlier would be available.

I like the look of the grassy plain one and seeing as Games and Gears let me down on their promise to do a generic board suitable for historics this looks like a good replacement. Beer resistant as well - what more could you ask for!

But anyway, thanks, we did see an opportunity for a niche and went for it and we are super excited to see it going so strong!

'Grassy Plains' will work really well for historicals! We tried to make it as ubiquitous as possible to appeal to a wide range of games.

We will make a space mat for sure, it is just a matter of when. We got bombarded with requests for the 4x4' space mat and to a lesser extent, the 4x6'. We may hit it with the KS if we continue to run hot (the stretch goal is fairly high) but if not in this KS, then certainly after the product is launched.

The Urban is awesome and my Cities of Death terrain is all buildings on 12"x12" pieces so it will fit in nicely on the board! Can we pick ours up at LVO? I'm looking at getting the Urban and Wasteland depending on color of the desert. Great product and exactly what I need!

A quick couple of questions since I have been drooling over these mats since I found the kickstarter.

- Will there be a "I need all 4 March delivery " because I wanted to get the February but apparently you only like 25 people!

- I live in Denmark which is part of the EU. How will I be affected by taxes? I.e. will there be some sort of import tax or will it be shipped from within the EU or?

Hey Gorlack,

Glad you like them! You can also buy the mats individually and if you get them while the Feb delivery is still available, you are good to go!

We are setting up Swedish distribution, so the mats will be shipped to you from there. Your taxes and duties would be adjusted appropriately for that type of transaction. I don't know Sweden to Denmark trade laws (or within the EU as appropriate) off the top of my head, sorry. You may have to look that one up.

And inside the EU it's like the Wild West - anything goes - so there shouldn't be any taxes when it's comming from the Swedes (the Danes arch nemesis' btw).

You know with all this talk about fire lanes and urban mat (which I like BTW and pledged for). The angle of the roads doesn't actually change anything about there being or not being fire lanes it just changes the deployments that benefit from them. If you want to eliminate fire lanes you could put in circle or square drives (just like Las Vegas!)

Not a great drawing but you get the idea. the only real change you would need is the central park area would be more limited (aka not as much building placement variety) and it would still line up with the existing mat. If you guys decide to make such a mat I would have to up my pledge and get both. It also would allow you to make the mats asymmetric without removing your deployment grids completely.

Either way I am very pleased with what you guys are doing and I look forward ti the blasted lands mat unlocking to see what it looks like.
