So the USR states that you can voluntarily fail a morale test to run away from a big monster - is it possible to do this with a fearless unit? Fearless means they automatically pass the test - How do these two rules interact?

As the Fearless rule states, they cannot choose to fail a Morale Check due Our weapons are Useless (page 35)

He doesn't anymore, and I looked it up and it's correct what was said here so I stand (well, sit at the moment) corrected!
