So yeah, going to start up some marines over Christmas, basically think Thunder hammer/Storm sheild inthusiasts with a slight hinge towards vampire hunting.

Also in no way is this inspired by a certain organisation in a popular video game...

Vampire hunting?

Hitting blood angels with hammers, basically they hate all blood angels and blood angels successors, because they believe they are unholy abominations that must be purged for the good of the imperium, of corse the adeptus terra tries to stop them but they can't always succee, you try stopping a bunch of homicidal wacjobs wavin thunder hammers in your face.

So.... They're a traitor chapter?

How about the Dornguard harbor an animosity towards the Blood Angels because they believe Sanguinius was weak and failed the Emperor during the confrontation with Horus on the Vengeful Spirit during the Siege of Terra?

Dawnguard (Sound the same) but more related to Sunlight VS Vampires

Dornguard sounds affiliated to Imperial Fists.

Dinamarth justifies it well if they are loyalists.

They are imperial dust successors, what's Dinamarth?

If you want to justify them being loyalist, make a xenos antagonist for them that is essentially Vampires... could work like a cult thing. People enthralled by the Vampire fight for them (as opposed to an army of Vamires... that would be meh, at best. Vampire counts in space, essentially). You can still loathe the BA while having something more important to beat down (meaning you don't have the resources to go mash the BA... yet )

Sounds good I remember reading somewhere about "Warp Vampires" or something, I believe it was in a Horus heresy novel, I could extent the "vampire hunting" to all warp entities, but then they would turn into the exorcists...blood consuming aliens... Sounds promising.

Mmm...Dornguard... I would let them play a lot of political intrigues, have some family relations to Emperor and bet on a lot of marriages with different chapters... And at least one character must have snakes on PA and use poisoned weapons!

How about the Dornsters? DornVaders, DornPorn, Dornbuggy, Dorn Brothers, Dorn's Vengeance, The Hand of Dorn, Fist of Dorn etcetera
