Do you show up in your own player finder? Because I see that there is one person in my city, and I'm not sure if it just me.

This is what I was thinking too. I live in a Suburb of Cleveland, Ohio, but because Cleveland is 'bigger' than where I live, I used that as my central hub for the player finder. There was '1' gamer in Cleveland until I switched to my hometown. Refreshed the player finder and lo and behold, there is 1 Cleveland gamer and one gamer for Lakewood. I chalked the Cleveland player still being there because it was waiting for a server refresh.

Darn thought I had another player near by...

I'm still getting the:

I think that is someone else in Cleveland.
When I filter it to just show 40k, I see both you in Lakeland and a Cleveland gamer; change it to OTLG and I just see you in Lakeland.

You are shown as a player in your own town. I have taken one's self out of the players near you count where applicable now though. You cannot message yourself on the system, so if you try to send a contact message, it will just skip over you and send to anyone else who is appropriate.

The player finder map can take up to 24 hours to refresh, and even longer if your ISP is caching results. Cyp, you are in palm coast, FL right? If so, I'll dig into your error a bit more as it appears to have been mostly resolved for others but I'm sure there is some lurking small glitch there that needs to be tracked down.

Yeah, Palm Coast, FL. It should be showing '1 player within 100 Miles of You'.

It should be correct now. There was a glitch showing players over 30 miles away.

The error with showing people who had not yet set a location but were logged in to dakka should also be fixed now.

Finally, the chrome display glitch when contacting someone should also be fixed.

All in all, the player finder should work pretty smoothly now on all browsers except IE10 and IE11 (which have some glitches with the map still), and should be stable up to about 1500 towns.

(but I'll add more stability before that point!)
