I was just wondering how the Primary Weapon rule interacts with weapons that don't roll for Armor Pen normally. Say like the Sonic Lance (if anyone ever took it on the Eldar Titan).

Do you ignore it? Do you roll 6 d6 in pairs and take the highest for each pair?

Primary weapons allow you to roll extra dice when you roll for armour penetration.

If you don't roll for armour penetration then you do not get extra dice.

Let me rephrase, how does it interact with multi-die AP rolls. Say if one had the armorbane rule or as in my sample case the sonic lance that rolls 3d6.

4d6 discard the lowest. It says an extra dice.
