Orlanth; I'll just say this - I'm beginning to remember why I put you on ignore. Oh, and "Project Fear" was a moniker Better Together
devised themselves to label their campaign, then ran a mile from when a journalist spotted it on a document and it became public knowledge. We're done.
I will read this exactly as what it means. Yodhrin cant argue against the points, so bury head in sand instead.
As my point is about how the Independence campaign is willfully sticking its head in the sand and resorting to denial strategy to attempt to neutralise the very real problem that an independent Scotland will have over
EU membership I should not be suprised.
As for Project Fear, this comes out of an unsubstantiated rumour printed in the Sunday Herald where apparently some people in the Better Together campaign called their movement 'Project Fear'.
Wikipaedia wrote:On 23 June 2013, in an article marking the campaign's first anniversary, the Sunday Herald claimed that "Privately, some inside Better Together even refer to the organisation as Project Fear".[25] The name "Project Fear" subsequently appeared in other news outlets[26][27] and was co-opted by pro-independence campaigners.[28] The following line of the Sunday Herald's article said that "[Blair] McDougall is unrepentant about the tactics", but on the following day's edition of Scotland Tonight McDougall denied ever hearing anyone use the term "Project Fear".[29]
- As the Batter Together campaign leadership have flatly denied this.
- and as using this term would be only of benefit to the
SNP.
- and that unlike Yohdrins claim there has been
no documentary evidence, though I can see why he would need to claim there is.
Nevertheless Salmond has ran with this, used the 'project fear' label repeatedly in speeches at the party conference and encourages his stooges to do so also (without thinking too much about it). We can put this one to bed as yet more
SNP propaganda. The Independence campaign don't need to tell the truth so long as people realise they are lied to only after they are hoodwinked into voting yes. By then it will be too late.
I write this for anyone else following the thread Yodhrin probably wont see this if he has placed me on ignore, that doesn't matter, one needs an open mind to listen.
