I was just messing around in army builder and wanted to see what I could do with Wazdakka and this is what I have come up with:

HQ
160pts - Warboss with Power Klaw, Attack Squig, Bosspole, Cybork Body, and Warbike (Warlord)
180pts - Wazdakka

Elite
400pts - 5 Nobs + Painboy and Grot Orderly, 4 Big Choppas, 1 Power Klaw, Bosspole, and Waaagh! Banner

Troops
400pts - 5 Nobs + Painboy and Grot Orderly, 4 Big Choppas, 1 Power Klaw, Bosspole, and Waaagh! Banner
215pts - 6 Warbikers + Nob with Power Klaw, Bosspole
215pts - 6 Warbikers + Nob with Power Klaw, Bosspole
215pts - 6 Warbikers + Nob with Power Klaw, Bosspole

I would play this army as using the warboss/boss for assaults and wazdakka/warbikers for shooting hit-and-run. I only have about half the models that I need to make it but if the build looks promising I plan on ordering in more bikes soon.

It is a very rock paper scissors list. Nob bikers are either going to do great or are going to die horribly on turns 1 and 2.

Well my friend plays orkz and I have come to love bikes T5 is brutal when you have a 4+ cover always.

My only advice is drop all the nobz and spend 800pts on dakka jets and lootas, Lootas are the best unit in the ork codex IMO
they kill anything that's not AV14.

Buy an agies defense line and put 3 blobs of lootas behind it for a 4+ cover or 2+ if you g2ground heck snap shots at 6+ isn't much worse then hitting on 5+ when you get a 2+ cover!

@pertre: For the Nob Bikers, yes they can be very "all-eggs-in-one-basket" but I don't think the game's success is reliant on them. They are just there to fill a Close Combat roll with Battlewagon Nobz being a good alternative. What would you recommend?

@Arbiter: I'm not sure how I can bring a critical mass of Lootas (20-45) without sacrificing too many bikes.

Maybe replace the elite nobz with lootas?

Eh, I love bikers, but they're still costed for back when they were the only bikes with a built in cover and when ignores cover wasn't a big thing.

Now that every bike gets it, and everyone laughs at cover, I expect them to get far cheaper in the next codex (or not lol) and then they'll be pretty decent.

Over all low leadership
Why not take 1 group of Nob bikes (9) + WB+ Waz and 2 Groups of 12 bikes + left over points to add make the bikers 2 x 15?

bikes work best in groups of 6-8 models from what I hear. I came up with an alternative list at 2000pts that involved the Forgeworld biker boss.

Biker Boss: Cybork, PK, Kombi
Zhadsnark
10 Biker Nobz: 2 PK, Kombi, etc.
8 Warbikers (x4): Nob PK, BP
1 Deffkopta: TL Rokkit, Buzzsaw

I took some toys off the boss and added more bikers. This still fits with the fast-and-mobile profile of bikes while still keeping the units small enough to move around the map without getting in each others way. The Deffkopta is there to be a distraction and for popping the rears of tanks.

I feel with all the ignore cover there is now that heavier nob bikers are the better option. That is what my list runs on at any rate.

3x 4 biker nobs - PK, cybork
1 painboy - cybork

Backed up by two warbosses, decked out with enough kit to make them insane. (8 attacks on the charge). I've never run bikes before so mine is more of an experiment but I have plenty of douches in my area so we shall see where this goes.
