Not really your opponent still has a movement and shooting phase (and potentially an assault phase) to deal with them...

Hm. Yes. But normally they can't attack till turn two no matter what. And normally if you deep strike than they can't attack until turn three. So all I'm really saying is they're a bit less rubbish than without NZ. I've literally never been able to think of a good use of the phased reinforcement rule.

The one advantage I see to this tactic is being able to DS you unit within range of the unit that just arrived or super far away from that unit to threaten a weak side of the table without worry of your opponent DS an answer to your threat as they've already gone.
