Why are the Lascannon sponsons on the LR upside down?

Only on one side. Think it was following repairs after the "store kid" dropped the Landraider.
Recommend reading the comic strip series sometime, it's brilliant.

Especially since there are in fact no such thing as official cadian rules right now. There are no Cadian tactics or regimental differences on the table top. Heck the guard codex actively encourages you to do conversions and count as. It is not proxie to say that my guy in flak armor and holding a las gun is this regiment rather then that one. What would be proxing would be him using a speeder as a tauras.

So the sponsons are identical and the kit came with two right side sponsons?

Because the post that holds that left sponson is supposed to be on the top of that housing, if it is on the bottom of the housing you have it on the incorrect side.

Don't get me wrong—I'm a big fan of consistency, truth, and accuracy—but is this really something that deeply concerns you?

Leave the poor man's Landraider alone!

I assumed the sponsons are magnetized and when put on the LR for the picture were put on upside down either by accident or as a goof.

It's not my Landraider!
It's a display piece made to match the comic strip.

Got to love good old Super Jackhammer Carrier Tank (Jack)! I wish they would kick that back up! TSOALR I had to make a Kern and Frep crew for my land raider.

I use some old WWII soldier models as cadians. Not the right base size, but they have been mistaken for the actual models before.

Like it says in many tournament rule guides that prohibit them, a proxy is basically a model the is not the GW provided representation of a unit
It should be noted however that proxies are different from conversions.
For this reason I should think that representations of the latter (units without a model) would be a conversion - provided it coheres with WYSIWYG (ie. a space marine scout is not an apt representation of Old Zogwort from codex: orks)

I didn't vote, because I was confused by the second choice, "using a unit with no unofficial model."
Is there any unit that HAS an "unofficial" model? Aren't all models made by GW "official"?
Also, what happens if I use a few GW models in the unit, and a few non-GW models in the unit? Is my unit official or unofficial?

That was a typing error it is meant to say using a unit for no official model as I had posted
