So I have some Warcasters with small/ annoying parts (smoke pipes and whatnot) and a friend came up with trying tiny dabs of JB Weld on pewter models instead of super glue to basically fuse the parts together. Have anyone of you guys and gals given this a try; if so what where the results?

Never heard of that, but if it works, why not.

It could work. Why not just pin instead? Less chemical mess. and no chance of burning yourself......

Pinning would be ideal, but between my hands hurting as soon as I begin to drill pewter and these being idiotically small parts, it's something I try my best to avoid.

I totally get that, and I have pinned Steelhead Halbadeers which is almost as bad as Nyss, but not so bad as brass rodding my Iron Fang Pikemen.

I now put a band-aid on my left index finger so the metal part doesn't dig in when holding it, and one on my right hand where the end of the pin vice hits so it gives it a bit of cushion. It helps.

My main issue is more of the joints in my fingers themselves protest. Not sure if it's arthritis or what but cold weather doesn't help with it.

Have you tried a pin vice like this? It might help a bit.

Have one just like it, the other problem is these are parts like eFiora's smoke pipes and clockwork angle's wings.

I get that. Not sure how you would get just a tiny bit of JB Weld on there in a way that doesn't ruin the parts around it. You could try the old glue/dot of green stuff/glue sandwich between the pieces.
