Hey! So I thought that I would pass on some stuff that I've learned while playing BF4 so far (note playing on PS3).

SRAW and IGLA - lock on and shoot one rocket and look up immediatly then reload, lock on and fire again and hold the lock on for a couple seconds and both rockets will hit

Slam Landmines - Can Kamikaze with jeeps, *Warning! Jeeps will blow up when exiting*

Slam, M15 Landmines, and Claymores - will stay spawned even if you change classes, Tie this with an Engineer with both Slams and M15s with the Field Upgrade to have 10 mines thoughout the map and change classes anytime.

These are the ones that I use the most, anyone have anymore?

Don't the Claymores use actual tripwires now that attach to doorframes etc, instead of just being motion sensitive?

Yeah, the tripwires are pretty obvious sometimes, if you put them too far away from what you are trying to protect or block. 3 tripwires total.

Well, got any tips for using them?

And the SLAMs, the new motion sensitive anti tank mines...can they be attached to the bonnet of your own jeep to make a motion sensitive Jihaddi Jeep? C4 powered Jihaddi Jeeps were a favourite tactic of mine back in Bad Company 2 and BF3.

I havn't got the game yet myself, I'll be getting the X360 version at Xmas.

C-4 Jihaddi Jeeps and motorcycles are still a thing, though I don't see them much on the PS4 version. I've seen some hilarious Xbox video's of people being sent flying 3 maps over from those things.

I'm a shotgun whore. Don't ever use slugs. For some reason Dice made them less powerful and I swear, less accurate even though the stats say otherwise. Just stick with buck shot and a full choke and you'll slay people way better than with slugs.

With a controller I've found it's easier and faster to aim using your strafe rather than trying to get the reticle itself on target. Just get it in the general area and the physically move into your shot.

With carbines and assault riffles you can be really far away and still be deadly accurate by pumping the trigger quickly. You'll only shoot a few rounds at a time but can do this very fast, I've laid people out from way outside the typical range of said rifles by doing this.

If someone is chasing you whilst running away, turn a corner and drop a grenade at your feet. It almost always gets them and gives you the chance to take your persuer out.

Has anyone actually killed a tank with the RPG? I will empty all the shots I have into a MBT only to have it turn around and shoot me.

Sure have, just have to make sure and shoot it on its backside. Haha.

Also, I've noticed that the tow-launchers are ACTUALLY in good places for once on the Conquest maps. I've gotten at least 4 tank kills with them thus far.

And if you're drinkin' well, you know that you're my friend and I say "I think I'll have myself a beer"

Hit the topside, rear, or if you can the underside.

It also depends on which antitank launcher you're using. If using the starting launcher you have to take into account that while it is a 'dumbfire', it also will 'home in' on a target when in proximity and the tank can smoke those shots.

Also you need to keep an eye out for a light on a pole on the roof of the tank(or any armored vehicle and the big heavy attack boat for that matter). If it has that light, do not fire when the light is green. That is the APDS upgrade and it 'deflects' launched explosives. Wait for the light to go red and then fire, because the APDS will no longer be effective.

I am actually using the RPG. RPG7 I think.

Thanks for the APDS tip BTW, I was not aware of that.

Ah there's your issue.

The RPG7 seems to be very hit or miss in its damage. I've long suspected it might have a bug, but have not gotten that confirmed yet.

That explains much. What launcher do you use?

Also, I am getting good at flying the transport chopper and giving good firing arks for my door gunners. Nothing is more fun then circling a point with half of your helicopter shooting at something.

I've been noticing more frequently with the RPG that I'll land a direct hit, and no damage will be dealt.

Other times I've done as much as 37 damage with a hit, or 22 damage, and this is on the front armor.

There does seem to be a bug with it.

It might simply be that you are unlucky enough to be volleying your RPGs at the same time something big is locking on to the tank and the tank has their APDS up or the tank has Reactive Armor on as well.

Personally I go for the SRAW, the wire-guided launcher. Thing packs one hell of a punch and can instantly cripple a tank from the side or front if you hit the turret seam.

SRAW's are good for double tapping a tank. If you time it right, you can strike the tank with two rockets almost simultaneously, doing a lot of damage or instant killing it before the driver can react.

1. Fire a rocket into the air.
2. Reload.
3. Aim at the tank and fire a second rocket.
4. The 2nd Rocket will hit first, followed by the 1st rocket which will likely hit the top armour.

Bear in mind that is considered an exploit and they have banned people for it. It's on the "fix list" for DICE.

Why would it be a bannable offense? Seems kind of hard to pull of correctly.

Well, the reason it's a bannable offense is that it only works under a specific set of circumstances and it's been known for quite some time that the effects are unintentional and require an in-depth change to the coding rather than a simple patch done serverside.

Remember that the way it works is you fire a SRAW rocket straight up, immediately reload and fire another one straight up.

Because you fired the rocket straight up it avoids any intervening terrain or possible impacts and allows for you to have two wire-guided missiles in the air rather than the one which would be in the air otherwise. Since both rockets were fired straight up as well they both come down at a very similar angle.
