An open world 'old school' RPG made by Obsidian, well it will get my money.

Do not underestimate the Squats. They survived for millenia cut off from the Imperium and assailed on all sides. Their determination and resilience is an example to us all.

Its just a shame that they couldn't fight off Andy Chambers.

They gets no more from me until I get Pillars of Eternity.

A developer the size of Obsidian can handle developing 2 games concurrently, providing that they are at different stages of development.

I don't think I said "Obsidian can't handle two concurrent games", I said I won't fund any other projects from them until I get the one I originally funded. That is neither esoteric nor unreasonable.

Why would you give someone money for something else when they haven't given you the first thing you paid for? I have nothing against them, I invested after all, but I just don't think it is a good idea to continually invest without something to show for it. I also don't like when groups start multiple kickstarters when they haven't finished the ones people have already invested in. There are certainly other factors that could change this, but going on the info we have, that is the way it goes. If we had a solid release date for Pillars, and this was reasonably close to that it probably would effect the decision to back it, but as of know, it is just a company saying they want more KS money when they haven't finished the other KS they have going on. This doesn't mean others can't, or that they shouldn't, just that as of know I don't feel inclined to back it while waiting for Pillars.

Well firstly Kickstarter project are always a risk.

This new game is still in the early development stages, much too early to even have a kickstarter and Pillars is obviously near(ish) release given that Obsidian have begun their pre launch marketing.

Its quite possible that this new kickstarter will begin before Pillars is released but this almost certainly won't have any effect on either game simply due to where they are on their development timetables.

Its your money but if you backed the first KS then I don't see any reason at this point to not back the second.
