Well, I'd replace the Wraithlords with Warwalkers. They can scout or outflank as the Scorpions and this would give the army some synergy. Wraithlords are tough but their damage output is generally too low.

Wraithlords damage output is only low compared to Warwalkers, since warwalkers have the best damage output in the entire game (6 bright lances in 1 heavy supprt slot, why yes thank you very much, other variation that are just as strong to choose from too...yay!)
do you mind me asking why you chose the wraithlords and avatar?
the avatar does great behind an aegis defense line with icarus lascannon since he shoots twice at huge range with Bs10, add 6-8 rangers to make that area scoring (place Aegis line on an objective) keep one wraithlord to shoot more in there (also gives the wraithlord a 4+ cover save) and have more close combat in case they send some dudes too close and its a great holding point.

Well with 4 mcs karandras and another scorpion exarch I was really looking to punch some face

I like this list, that said only changes would be:

Drop avatar and take either a ageis defense line and 130 pts for warp spiders x5

Drop avatar and take a crimson hunter exarch for 180 with 35pts left for a scorp exarch with SC

i would drop avatar for defence line and spiders. I do love me some spiders

I'd say keep the avatar, drop the serpents and flood the field with defenders and storm guardians that are fearless, along with a bunch of infiltrating scorpions. It's pretty much like starting the game with 30 assault marines in your opponents face, except you have mandiblasters and bladestorm pistols. If your opponent wastes time shooting your footsloggers, they won't flinch a bit as a huge MC wall comes crashing in along with a bunch of eldar dorks with death guns. Sounds fun as hell to me

Well, exept for the fact that that is removing the staple pf the list. Waveserpents do well every game, massed guardians dont.

Undisputably so!

The problem with these MC is that they are kinda slow, the Wraithlords do shoot which helps this conundrum but the avatar might end up being ignored all game. Perhaps a crimson hunter would indeed be better(would help
ur lack of AA). This would leave you some points to upgrade a wraithlord into a naked wraithknight ( I know you mentionned no wraithknights and im also not a fan of the 2 or 3 wraithknight per list tactic but one wraithknight I find acceptable and would look good besides 2 wraithlord while complementing the list well. )

Man, this makes me want to start an Eldar army!

I don't feel that the avatar can pull his weight with being so slow, and only 12" range has a hard time shooting as well if only you could deep strike or out flank him.

I think he needs wings. WINGS FOR THE AVATAR!

He should be like the autarch, custamizable weapons and upgrades. Winged avatar with mandi blasters and a 8 feet long scorpian chansword!

If you allow infiltrate to pass to the unit he joins, you could conside wraithguard (Dscythe) with a Spiritseer attached. Super nasty in your face scoring unit with possible great seer buffs.

D-scythe Wraitguards are already good, if infiltrator would be transfereable we would see this being used all the time for sooooo many reason

Seriously, ignoring him would greatly benefit him...the thing about this army...the troops are the last target priority and by those last few turns most of our armies will have grinder each other up leaving the serpents and objective scoters largely untouched.
