Multiple times this weekend I've gotten an error loading a page in the forums (any thread). Chrome tries for a while then throws a connection reset error. At first I hit back and tried again, but then started hitting the "Reload" button in chrome. The page still errors, but the URL it was going to was:

Is this something on my end that's trying to hit Facebook and failing?

Up to date Chrome on an iPad 2 iOS7. Have not tried safari.

Try Safari. That's what I use for mine (then again, mine's an older version so that may not work).

I've not been able to replicate this. Are you:

1. Signed in on facebook
2. Signed in on dakka (or viewing as guest)
3. Do you have any sort of ad blocking stuff installed or enabled at any level
4. Is your connection usually stable
5. Do you have cookies enabled normally?
6. Does it literally only happen on the forums, or does it happen on the gallery and articles pages as well?

Yes, through the app. Not through the Facebook website.

I only surf the forums and haven't tested the gallery or article pages.

That said, just like taking your car to the mechanic, it hasn't happened since I reported it.

I suspect it was a temporary glitch from some facebook integrated element. Odd though as we dont load any facebook code unless you are not signed in to the site, and even then it is sparingly used.

Did you recently clear your cookies before seeing the error, or were you possibly browsing in incognito mode?

Neither that I'm aware of - unless iPad Chrome does that automatically for some reason.
But I'd expect that to log me out, and I wasn't.

And I only use incognito for ... nevermind.

ok, I'll put it down to a glitch in the matrix for now. Let me know if you see it happen again!
