The skin on the Daemon Prince looks very smoothly painted and it all looks neatly done. The colours are all bright and clear; great start!! Before you get to far along I would go back and get rid of the mould lines on the skulls. But that's just me!

I only have 2 complaints
1. Wash the six-pack with seraphim sepia.
2. Do the same to the skulls. BTW: great work on the "everything else"

The phrase is

"if it doesn't look right, just schlop on some wash."

This is what we do in brisbane

I think the DP looks good. I'd love blasting him to bits with a few lascannons, but.

The shrouded lord: I think the closest GW is 3 hours away up in memphis tenn. we don't have anything like that close by only two small hobby shops that keep in a little bit of gaming stuff.

So...... I've learned something's that I should already have known and I'm gonna post it here while I attempt to fix it for anyone who is new getting into painting. DO NOT TRY TO TAKE A SHORTCUT. Do it right the first time and the result will be much better. So I'm taking this as a learning experience for all and hopefully this will help everyone. Instead of painting and basing normally I got one of the predone paper strips for terrain..... It would have worked if I would have picked one or the other. Anyway here is a pic to help out. Almost done but got some cleaning up to do on it to make it all look right.

I love the color choice you made for him. Looks awesome, very fierce. I think some lighter highlights just on the highest points of his muscles would look great, and add a bit more depth and intimidation to him. The diorama looks great with him on there! Are you going to add anything else to it, perhaps bodies strewn willy-nilly like Daemon Princes tend to do?

Thanks for the compliments! Especially on the diorama its the first one I've done lol. Learned alot from it and figured out what not to do too. Agreed that some depth on his muscles would benefit the overall look. I sooo want to add bodies all around but this is actually a scene from a book a friend of mine wrote that got published so no bodies in the scene :( Wanted to stay true to the book for him. I may have to do another one with the appropriate amount of carnage!
