Hey all!

Just thought I'd post a positive TR, just to show that hey, sometimes you get a really good trade on dakkadakka. You know you always have to be careful trading, but at least with guys like Ambo around it's a little safer.

Ambo responded to my swap shop ad looking for a few CSM things. I'm new to dakka and new to trading online like this so I was really wary as well as nervous. I thought that since I'm so new and no one knows me it would be hard to get any bites, much less seal the deal. Ambo was really patient with all my newbie questions and when he knew I didn't really have any knowledge of the worth of the items he didn't try to squeeze me. Now I have two units sitting on my desk that 'm really happy with!

Our deal was enacted on the 18th, we got our parcels at around the same time I'm guessing. I got mine today. Everything arrived safely and exactly as described and pictured and we both just +1'd each other on the TR List.

So there you go folks, even if you're new like me or an old vet like Ambo there are plenty of good trades to be had out there. Just be careful, do your homework and be honest with everyone you deal with and you'll do just fine!

Posted there as well, but I figured all these bad TRs looked a little scary for new traders so I wanted to share a positive experience in a bit more detail.

Well it is a nice sentiment especially on Christmas Eve. However we can't have these as their own threads or they'd positively clog the forum, as there are many more good trades than bad!

And if new traders are wary, that's good- using PayPal and filing a complaint within 45 days is the only truly safe way to trade. After my time here, other than small trades, I always sell, then use PayPal to buy what I need. Not as good of a deal as a straight trade, usually, but much safer.
