Subject: Quick question about multiple spells and magic items

Can I have two wizards that know the same spells, assuming they've rolled for them?
Can I give two units the same magic banner, or two characters that have the same magic items?
Page numbers are fine - I just can't find where it does or doesn't say in the rulebook.
Thanks

No to both. I made an error before. Pg490 : Ordinarily, each spell can only be known once in the same army.

You can know the same signature spells. The ones that wizards can default to choosing. And basically if there is any special rule that dictates a spell/spells/whatever, that supercedes any other rules and then they can share. So basically only rolled spells count as spells you can't duplicate.
Like if someone is a loremaster and gets all the spells, those don't count. If a unit automatically gets one spell, that doesn't count, it wasn't rolled. If a unit gets 1 spell from every lore, also doesn't count. If you get to choose spells, doesn't count.
^ akin to the top in the same page it says:
"if you ROLL a spell twice (whether for the same Wiz or for a different Wiz in the army) you must normally replace the duplicate spell with another of your choice from the same lore)."
Emphasis added to roll.

Okay thankyou both. Roll being the emphasised word hey. I noticed that the Doomfire Warlock entry in my Dark Elf book says they get two spells, and that knowing them doesn't prevent others from knowing them.
How about magic items? I know I've heard that you can't have two of the same magic item, but I can't find the section in the main book that says this. I'm new to Fantasy and still finding my way around the book.

Haha thanks a lot. I just found it myself actually, on page 500.
Apparently I've never read that page before.
