When a unit runs off a table edge from failing a morale check does it count as a kill point or first blood and does the unit count as having died. Really if you could just tell what stuff the running off the board qualifies for.

The unit counts as being destroyed. It gives up a KP, First Blood, it is dead, and will remain in a constant state of shame until that unit can redeem itself in CC.

It does NOT confer a Pain Token on the last unit to shoot at it/hit it in CC though, does it?

Got to ask... can you voluntarily move a unit off the board?

Not as far as I'm aware. It effectively commits suicide dropping off the board, rather than being killed by the DE unit.

IF a unit of Dark Eldar fires at another unit, causes a moral check which is failed, and the unit then runs off the board.
They do get a pain token.
If they were shot at by multiple units then the pain token would be applied randomly to the units. Per the Dark Eldar codex.

Per the FAQ it does:
Q: If a unit with the Powerfrom Pain special rule destroys an enemy
unit, does it gain a pain token no matter how the unit was destroyed?
For example the resultant explosion from shooting at a vehicle wipes out
an enemy unit. (p25)
A: Yes.
It's a similar principle. However, it would have to happen in the same turn. If the unit didn't make it off the board immediately then the DE unit wouldn't be able to claim the token.

Hrm. Confusing. So, if two squads of Kaballites shoot a unit, and it fails a morale check and flees, which of them gains the Pain token?

Noted. Thanks Hukoseft.
Sorry, Wagguy! Missed your post. I appreciate the answer though. That would have made my last game end quite differently.
