Found an old box of metal figures while tidying up recently, Have just got the first batch through the stripping and cleaning process;

I don't recognise all of them... the chaos warriors stand out quite well, some goblins, and various others, theres about this many again to come out of the drink and get scrubbed still. Being stripped with Isopropyl alcohol 99.9%.
I don't know what to do with these figures, I dont really collect anything that they sit with, iirc they were my uncles dnd figures from years n years back, i got given them as a youngster. Thinking about selling them, dunno how desirable they are? Worth much? Or keep them in the same box in the loft that theyve sat in for 15+years?

Thats definatly an option, but the fact is that they have been sat around for a couple of decades now, many of them have dates from the 1980's on the slota base bit

And Ive got plenty on the to be painted list already... orks, dark angels(all 3 wings) skaven, high elves.... So im leaning towards getting them into some hands that will love them
but maybe turning them into some other figures for the afore mentioned collections would be good...

I just dunno what theyre worth... or if theres market for them? lol

Heres another bunch of them;

Theres a few stragglers in the drink still... but I'm off to bed lol theyle get done tomorrow.

Identify them and throw them up individually on eBay. I'm sure someone collects them.

There's some nice classics in there that fetch good Ebay cash. The Chaos Warriors would go well as a set and I can see a couple of early Chaos Dwarves that people like.

I'd take the Chaos Warrior with 2 axes off you as I always fancied him back in the day and never owned him lol.

There's also a few figures that have potential in there, I think I've seen the devil in the cape in the centre of the bottom row of the first figure do well on EBay, and the town crier guys and the jester might be worth looking up.

If you can spare the time to do the research, takea look at stuff of legends, identify the figure's exact names and search on Ebay completed listings to see what they have sold for,

For example - top photo, bottom row, #6 L to R is C18 Pit Fiend

Stick C18 Pit Fiend into Ebay completed sales and you get these actual results

#1 I think is a Lord of the Rings Goblin - the left hand one from ME-74 http://www.solegends.com/citlotr/indexblist.htm
#2 is a C01 fighter - Baldur http://www.solegends.com/citc/c01fightersc3-01.htm
#3 I don't recognise at all
#4 is a pre-slotta Citadel Orc but I can't remember the code
#5 I *think* is not Citadel - something is nagging me that it's a Grenadier figure, but I'm not confident

Thanks for all the help.

These are all on Ebay.co.uk now. I just spent the whole evening since putting the lil one to bed, listing them....one by one... I'm all ebayed out hehe.
All of them are up for bidding starting at 99p. Ending next Saturday.

I'l forgo posting a link as I feel a bit cheeky advertising on the boards
Should be findable in the search, images are the same ones I posted in this thread.

Edit; btw all proceeds from these ebay listings will go towards building a table and populating it with lavish scenery for me and my nephew to game on. Any leftover will likely bolster the nephews CSM force.

Awesome, thanks for the heads up. I've already found a guy wishlisting some of the figures I've got here on his marketplace thread there. Shame I'd already listed on ebay as he would probably rather a private sales but I've let him know the auction exists hehe. Thanks for the heads up.
