Surely it'd be logical to sell them in sets of 5 of the same?

Both look pretty damn nice, but I can't imagine wanting them both together, really.

I agree, sets of 5 for each design make more sense that a set of 2 (1 of each design). I would be likely to buy it stes of 5 per, but as planned am unlikely to buy any.

I really like those terminator kits. Agree with the above. Would make more sense to have squads in uniform armor varients.

Consider it done...

As an aside, if done in metal they would be much faster to produce as well as a bit cheaper at the end cost. What do you all think of that idea?

The fit of the torso is pretty tight and good on the back torso.

Those look great Nick!

Those Terminator chests and heads are really sweet! To bad I already have all my terminators assembled and painted or I'd be tempted.

Wow, those terminators are great- really appreciate how minimal the conversions are, considering how effectively it changes the look.

Love the Terminator torsoes - will definitely be in for a set of them, particularly if they're in metal.

Keep up the good work, Nick.

Is there a general time/effort savings when using metal compared with resin?

I like those termi conversion kits, particularly #2, as others have mentioned.

I also think I identified what I don't like as much about #1. The torso piece looks wider than in #2, and the completed model looks broader and larger, which in turn makes the legs appear spindly. Now that could be the picture perspective or a trick of the color, but the raw pieces look bigger than #2.

I'll probably pick up some #2 torsos, as my deathwing didn't get started, so my termie are unassembled.

You might want to stick with resin for the Terminator chest parts.

Odds are the original parts were sculpted on the GW plastic model.

When the original green is mastered, the part shrinks with each successive mold so the production part you get is smaller than the original sculpt and metal shrinks a lot more than resin.

If the part is cast in metal you'll likely have significant gaps, or the part might be a tad too small and won't fit properly.

Just for reference, the size difference between the metal master and the production casting of one of the old GW metal SM Scouts was just over 1mm. You could see the height difference when standing them next to each other.

Metal would be more of a pain as the top part of a plastic mini as well. I've specifically waited for Victoria Lamb to release certain parts in resin instead of metal to avoid having top heavy conversions.

They both look good! The 'loin cloth' on #2 is a little sloppy, or it's been sloppily cropped for the photo, but they are both nice alternative torsos.

Yeah, I wouldn't be interested in metal torsos to go on plastic legs. That's always a recipe for much gnashing of teeth when minis refuse to stand up on sloped terrain.

Those terminator chests are pretty badass. I like #1 a little better but they're both quite good.

Those termie parts are pretty danged spiffy!

I prefer the first option - looks older, somehow.

And I'd like them right now......

Excellent torsos there Nick! Metal or resin works fine for me. I figure that termies have such large bases that one metal bit won't really make the model unstable at all.
