A friend is starting up an Inquisitor with retinue to plug into his army.

the Jokaero weaponsmith has cool rules but the model is pretty ugly and expensive.

I was thinking at-43 Karmans would look way cooler but I have never seen them in person. Anyone have these models, what Karman units are the smallest? what are the base sizes on them?

Surfing ebay Kaptars, Yetis or Wendigos look like they may fit the bill.

thanks in advance Dakka

All Karman infantry are on 40mm round bases, and fill them quite well.
They would be oversized proxies, at best.

They're still big and fuggly monkeys - so they will do the job fine.

They have guns - and generally are wearing what appears to be gorilla shaped powered armour - so some people might find this shatters the illusion (they can accept that there is a race of naturally gifted machine-savants that look like orangutans, but balk at gorillas in PA being used to represent them?)

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

Karmans are easily twice if not thrice the size of GK Jokaero, so no, they wouldn't make good proxies. The majority of the Karmans are all based on a single body, except heroes and class-3 infantry, which are even more bulky. There are no smaller apes than basic infantry.

Well...

Karmens are a bit bigger and bulkier than Jokeros, and unlike the latter, wear armor. It wouldn't be a very good counts as. Now a miniature of the librarian from Discworld that's about 28mm scale, that would be fine.

the karmins do indeed look very cool and you can justify it by saying that tyour inquisitor if testing steroids on them.

There was no way i was gonna spend that kind of cash on the monkeys (on official GW ones).
1. First, i considered buying a 'barrel-o-monkets and glueing them onto bases and painting them up. Woulda got a lot of giggles but I'm sure also a fair few complaints.
2. Then, I considered hitting a dollar store and buying up a bunch of bags of lil zoo animals but decided against that as well.
3. I finally settled on making my monkeys very small. small enough to build their own lil servo skull shaped transports to ride about in. I use the large servo skull dice holders that come with the the dice tins to represent these. Even so, I get a mixed bag of reactions from "you cant use those, they arent GW models, they are tokens" lol to "great idea, they look great"
Whatever you use, expect a few grumbles.

The giant power armor gorillas look a little too big. If you aren't wanting to spend the ridiculous GW prices, you might still be able to find some Dreamblade Rainforest Shaman figures.

Spoiler:

I got three of them, ripped them off their bases, and they work pretty well as Jokaero.

Karmen are easily the size of Space Marine Centurions, so be aware.
