Really like your style man, love the use of the tec. paints. glad to see the crackle earth thing being used. might be worth adding a tuft or two on the bases to add a bit of intrest to the base.
P.S. NURGLE RULES! always been on my to do list and posts like this tips the scales so far in too the buy now side.

cheers Medium of Death and The FireDrake, your comments are most welcome guys,
the tech paint range has turned out very good in fact truth is, i still find myself going back to citadel paints time and time again! even after using loads of other company's! how ever! the 'crackle' earth i don't feel will be up to lasting when it comes to a lot of gaming ? it already has started to flake! with some heavy handling so they will get re-based to a wet mud effect,
my rust! i love RUST!....... i do a lot of post apocalyptic cars and truck models so i use the same method which is a mixture of washes and pigments sticking the pigments on to a wet wash, start with either a black or gun metal base colour then add a rust base colour, then i just keep adding a 'bit here and a bit there!' untill i'm happy with the effect.............it's that simple! BUT first start with a practice on a couple of spare bits first if you don't do a lot of rusting normally,
I then use a graphite pencil to do the metal edging either a 2b or 8b pencil, i hope that helps guys! i really make it up as i go!
unit wise TYPHUS is next plus ZOMBIES! and cultists.....i'm building a list i WANT to play with, not a power list, so there will be a bit of everything in there! NURGLE of course! oh! and more rust!
cheers

Looks good mate. I have a mass of nurgle stuff either in build or on sprue and am planning on putting some paint to it when I finish my White Scars (probs at the same time as doing them tbh).
Got a chaos Reaver that I have heavily converted/nurglified that needs paint desperatley plus all manner of other things.
Keep up the work and the rust is great.
By the way if you want to keep the bases then just put a matt varnish on them and it holds it reasonably well.

Here's some early pics of it. there is a lot more GS on it now. I have had to put it away so that I could concentrate on my scars for the tournament this weekend. It will be coming back out soon and I may do a painting blog on it. The image is not too clear but it's a WHFB Mourngal coming out of the crotch.
The scariest part was vandalising it with a dremmel, I had to take a sanity check ruining that expensive a model then remembered that Nurgle would ruin me if I didn't haha

I love the pale/rusty look of the plague troops and demons. Very nice, and a nice change from the typical green that everyone does. They look properly weathered, old, decrepit, and vile. Nicely done!

I love Plague Marines. You did a great job on their paint job. I like that you went the rust/decay route versus the slime route most people seem to take for Plague Marines. The titan looks awesome, I can't wait to see the paint job on it.

In regards to the technical paint.
It's because you're laying it far too thickly, it needs to be partially attached to other sections of the 'crackle' in order to stay on the base, otherwise there is nothing else holding it. This is my only gripe about your models, otherwise the weathering and rust effects are fantastic, good work.

cheers BrotherofBone good advice mate, the flaking has only happened on only one or two, so i'm getting used to the thickness needed plus i'm laying a thin wash of Matt varnish over the top and that's working well and i need to add 'tufts' to break up the base............and i'm thinking of putting a 'stain' around the feet/boot area to simulate where ever they walk they cause decay? plus........do you guy's think i should do a bit of OSL on the plasma gun? cheers AL

to answer your Q, i was very skeptical of GW's tech paints! thieve turned out to be spot on! what ever is in typhus corrosion really works! it works well with the ryza rust, i used both over the back packs then hit them with rusty pigments,
