Every single one of those lists looks fun to play. I'm more of an imperial fan myself. Where is Fel though?!

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

110 gives you so many options 100 doesn't!

3 Ship at 110 is probably doomed, however.

IMO none of your lists are very good because you've got a lot of weak ship choices. I'll do them one at a time:

Wedge+R2+Push the Limit+Shield Upgr

Tank Wedge is fine, but PTL isn't very effective when you only have focus + target lock (stacking both has diminishing returns). If you aren't taking R2F2/engine/etc then you're probably better off with expert handling or elusiveness to boost your tank. Expert handling is especially nice since it lets you avoid arcs entirely, and at PS 9 you're moving after pretty much everyone else.

Ten Numb+Autoblaster+Adv Sensor+ either Squad Leader or Swarm tactics

Autoblaster is really bad without an engine upgrade (and ideally PTL). You'll have a hard time getting into range with just a basic move, and that's wasted points when you don't. Meanwhile the auto-crit (well, almost) ability is wasted since you aren't generating very many crits. You're better off taking torps or a HLC + marksmanship (yes, HLC + marksmanship turns an eyeball into a crit) and ensuring that you're doing a lot of damage every turn with that expensive ship. And squad leader or swarm tactics is a complete waste, you only have Biggs to boost and his offense isn't really worth spending your action or elite skill slot to improve.

Chewie+Falcon+Veteran Instincts

You really need gunner here. It's just way too much of a firepower increase and ensures that your expensive big ship is doing damage every turn. And VI is pretty limited, you're better off adding marksmanship to get the focus + crit ability on both your initial shot and the gunner shot if you need it.

Horton Salm+Ion Turret

This is just a waste. Salm's ability only works at range 2-3, while your turret only works at range 1-2. Unless you're at range 2 you're getting nothing, and that's a lot of points to spend on an ability you aren't using. Salm should always have torps, and probably two shots with them. Ion should only be considered after that, if you have the points.

Ten Numb+Autoblaster

Again, a bad choice. Now you don't even have the advanced sensors to help you get into autoblaster range. Same advice applies as the previous list with Ten.

Vader+Marksmanship+Stealth

Too many points for a ship with only two red dice. Marksmanship doesn't offer very much, and stealth isn't all that useful when your other TIEs are a more appealing target anyway. Vader really wants swarm tactics, with it on both Vader and Howlrunner you've got four ships attacking at PS 8-9. And the move the stealth device to Howlrunner since she's the more vulnerable ship and gives the bigger boost with her re-roll ability.

This. Three small ships is suicide unless you're talking about something like 3x b-wings with HLCs. Your three-ship lists have ships that aren't all that impressive and can't make up for the numbers disadvantage. Once you lose a ship, and you're going to lose one early, you've pretty much lost the game. Instead I'd probably go with something like this:

Blue + advanced sensors + HLC
Blue + advanced sensors + HLC
Blue + advanced sensors
Blue + advanced sensors

I firmly believe any competitive Rebel build 100% needs Biggs to be viable.

I strongly disagree with that. Biggs draws fire and protects a glass cannon like Wedge, but his offense is pretty limited. You're better off taking either several basic ships where none of them are more appealing targets than the others, or taking three elite characters so that all of them are equally high-priority threats. A (hypothetical) list with two copies of Wedge is almost always going to be better than one with Wedge and Biggs.

Ok having taken all that in how about this?

Wedge Antilles + R2 + Proton Torp + Expert Handling
Red Squadron Pilot + R2
Dagger Squadron Pilot + Proton Torpedoes
Blue Squadron Pilot

Am having difficulty squeezing 4 ships into a reb list, the 4 B-wing list looks cool but is more than 110 pts
Love Y-Wings and would love to run 4 of them but feel they would be too slow to catch the tie swarms

As for the Imps
Darth Vader + Swarm Tactics
Howlrunner + Swarm Tactics + Stealth Device
Mauler Mithel
Academy Pilot
Academy Pilot
Winged Gundark

Like the Idea of two ship wings, Vader and Howl, Gundark and Mauler leaving the two acadamies together on a flank?

cheers and thanks for the imput! Really really useful, keep it coming

Tourny was on sat Jan 18 at Imperial Hobbies in London ON
13 people attended playing a variety of lists
4 rounds were played - 2 missions and 2 shootem' ups

I took both the B-Wing Wing and Vader's Swarm but wound up only playing the Rebels

My List - B-Wing Wing
Blue Squadron Pilot + Advanced Sensors + Autoblaster
Blue Squadron Pilot + Advanced Sensors
Blue Squadron Pilot + Advanced Sensors + Autoblaster
Blue Squadron Pilot + Advanced Sensors

Game 1 - Smuggling Run (from Falcon box) - capture two of three cargoes before they get escorted off table

I ran the B's and was the smuggler
My Opponent - Hassem ran an Imperial list that I will post when I get home (two interceptors, vader and a tie?)
Vader +determination
Soontir Fel
Turr Phenir+Vet Ins+Shield
Howlrunner+Determination+shield

a very elite tie list that he ran flawlessly (and his dice were godly lol )

Started off with two elements on either side of table, he deployed in a similar manner, one element by each of the forward cargo and left the middle alone. Scooted in turn one and thanks to sensors tried a steal top of two but was unsuccessful. We then proceeded to start to dogfight and this is where the plan goes all to hell. His dice were ridiculous all game, nothing but hits when he shot and nothing but evades when I shot him. My dice were typically terrible - one thing that always frustrates me, I put myself in advantageous positions only to have my dice fail me over and over again.
Skip to the end, I had captured one crate and needed to swoop in for one last try at the second but I crashed into his well placed escorting tie and couldn't do an action and the crate scoots off the edge
Result - Full point win for him - 30 vp for destroying a B Wing
I got exactly 0 points as I didn't take out anything

As bad as my dice were I still had a chance, he played very well and used his ships to keep the crates moving quickly down the field, this in itself made it hard cause B-Wings are not that fleet of foot
He was a classy guy and acknowledged his ridiculous luck, not a bad game but still frustrating

Hmmm not a great start to the day, went outside, swore a bit (well alot) and tried to compose myself for the remainder of the day
will continue when I get home and have my opponents lists in front of me

cheers
Papasmurf

Game 2 - Straight Up shooty shooty

Played against Scott in a Rebel training exercise

I kept the B-Wing Wing rolling and he played

Red Squad X-Wing
Garven Dreis
Dagger Squad B-Wing
Jan Ors Moldy Crow Ion Turret

Asteriods scattered around the field, I deployed split into pairs again but with one group angled towards the other
He deployed in a group in the right corner and we were off
First few turns were spent getting close to one another, when we finally clash he shoots first and bam knocks 4 shields off of one of my auto blaster B's with the two ships that could see him
I thought oh no here we go again as his dice were red hot. I took a shield off of each x wing with my shooting and then the circling begins

This game the adv sensors really gave me an advantage as I was able to focus then pull a red to get me into good spots
He parked one of his x wings on a asteriod an took a shield off, I then proceeded to pound it till it went away, 1-0 for me

He swoops in with his b-wing and knocks some shields off of the b escorting the autoblaster w one shield
Over the next couple of turns He gets his ships out of position, other than the Moldy crow who happily ion cannons one of my b's every turn, knocking off a shield and setting me in a straight line grrrr

I take out the b Wing but it costs me my first autoblaster b, 2-1 me then garven takes out another b 2-2 hmmmm
For the first time I finally get some hot dice and his completely abandon him as the last two b-wings pulverize Garven leaving it 3-2 me
two slight battered b-wings chasing one slighty battered Jan Ors around the field.

He continues to peg away with the ion turret and keep one ship out of the fight for the most part
I get some shots in and whittle him down to 1 hull
Finally he misses with the ion turret and the remaining B-wings swoop in and turn the Moldy crow into fine space particulate 4-2 me a full point win

This was really a fun battle, back and forth, his ion turret was the star of the match and kept him in it far longer than he might have been otherwise.
Ok so my dice were still really bad at the beginning but turn on in the second half of the battle, back to even at 1-1 when we break for lunch

cheers

Game 3 - Senators shuttle w imperial reinforcements

Got matched up with a good friend of mine - Darryl

He ran Imperials
Soontir Fel
Howlrunner+Swarm tactics
Turr Phenir
3 x Academy ties (I think again no list in front of me)

I ran the B-Wings of course

Kept all 4 B-Wings together on the left side/middle and put the shuttle on the far right
He deployed in with the two interceptors to the far left (his left) and the rest in a bunch across from me

Game starts and the shuttle begins its painfully slow trek to get off the table
The interceptors zoom forward and boost putting them out of my arc and threatening to get behind me...oh oh

the B's move towards his block of ties and they respond in kind
Next few turns sees me with some decent luck put damage on three of the four ties in the swarm as he swoops in with interceptors and takes some shields off

I will state now that finally for an entire game I had average dice, and so did he, which made for an incredibly exciting and fun game

By starting the donnybrook in the middle of the table I kept his ties away from the shuttle as it creeps along

I knock out one tie then another then an interceptor (fel i think) which allows him to bring a tie on in reinforcement facing straight at my shuttle...hmmm not good

The fight drifts towards the shuttle as I attempt remove the ties blocking its path
I continue to pick off his ships, he continues to bring new ones on and begins to wear down the shuttle-first off come the shields then some hull

By now we are clustered around the shuttle as it makes the final few moves towards the board edge
I managed to kill all his starting ships except one basic tie(lol not sure how it survived unscathed) but his reinforcement ties are now all over the shuttle

I pop a few and try to focus fire to take out any in the path of the shuttle
He puts a few more shots into the shuttle leaving it on two hull points...oh oh

The final turns I get some luck and manage to roll two important evades with the shuttle as his ties swarm
I knock out another tie allowing him to park one right in front of the shuttle

I was about to slide the shuttle forward to make contact because we thought it could not get past when I remembered it could also do a soft turn!
I measure the turn then realize that if I just move straight I will fly OVER the tie and off the edge!
No damage as I pass the tie and the shuttle escapes the edge for a full point win for me!!

Wow, by far the best game of the day, lots of great maneuvering and back and forth with the shooting
He and I have play tons of game in tons of systems over the years and we both have a history of some truly appalling dice rolling
so it was nice to see this one decided by skill and not by dice

This leaves me 2-1 going into the final battle, certainly not where I expected to be after game one
Feeling a lot better and hoping that some of the top players get some modified wins, maybe I can squeak up the leader board

cheers
Papasmurf

Game 4 - Shootem' up at the Star Cross Corral

Last game of the day, sitting at 2-1 leaves me hopeful but I need a good showing in game 4

Duncan was my opponent, nice chap who was mostly deathly ill (or was recently and just getting over it)

He ran Imperials
Marek Stele+Sq Leader+Cluster Missile
Sabre Sq Pilot
Sabre Sq Pilot
Dark Curse
Night Beast

I ran the B-Wing Wing of course

Again standard field with asteroids scattered about

I deployed in two two ship units one centre but facing leftish and the other on the left
He deployed the sabres opposite my left most group and the rest together in the centre

I move turn one to bring all the b's together while he rockets up the field, leaves three ships from each side able to fire
He shoots first and knocks off a shield, then I get to shoot and ...can it be...no....yes!!! I knock out a Tie with my first two shots (I dont remember whether it was curse or beast)
and then put a damage on the other tie with my last shot!!! Best start to a game yet! Hopefully I can keep it up

Next few turns sees me use the adv sensors to their best, keeping me close to him but not in enough of his arcs to allow him to concentrate fire and take me out
He parks an sabre on an asteroid and takes a damage, I then happily spread his particles the remainder of the way across space
He takes some shields and I continue to put a bit of damage on him

I reply to his parking job with one of my own a few turns later but manage to escape with no damage
The sparring continues amongst the floaty rocks and he does manage to take out one of my autoblaster b wings but in exchange he loses marek

The end is coming He has two ships left, one damaged and an unscathed sabre against my three b-wings
The autoblaster finally does its job (first time all day really but not sure thats because of it, my appalling dice rolling or my opponents often god-like dice rolling)
and takes out the last tie. All of my ships are hit but none are out of shields and he has a sabre in range of my last two b-wings to shoot
One double crit and hit roll later he needs to avoid one on three dice to keep the game going
the roll.......three blanks! thats one last dead interceptor! A third full point win for me!

Duncan was a good guy and his dice really did desert him this game (I can sympathize)

So now I am 3-1 with 15 points.... just waiting for the last games to finish, hoping there are some modified wins mixed in there
....AND THE RESULTS winner 18pts! second ME!! with 15 points
Certainly not the way I expected to finish after the game one debacle but was extremely happy
Picked up a Lambda and another A-wing...Nice!

final thoughts.....Love the B-wing! barrel roll is sooooo much fun in a rebel ship
Advanced Sensors are amazing!! These were the reason I was able to pull off wins in the shoot outs
they kept me in close where I was more effective and being able to focus then K-turn is a nasty maneuver
Not sure about the autoblaster?? Like the idea and the sensors kept me close to use it often but not sure it was worth the 5 pts each
That being said if I drop them it puts this list at exactly 100, nice!

Well hope you liked the mini report, sorry no pics forgot camera at home

cheers
Papasmurf
