I was just looking at the Forge World site and amazed how my Horus Heresy stuff they are putting out. I also saw the character kits and think they are awesome too, and I got to wondering do they plan on, or maybe they have, made rules for using the primarchs alongside all the cool models they are producing? I am sure these guys would be extremely powerful, and I think that would be great, to see them slice thru squads of Space Marines. Just not sure if there is interest for that since based on what I read people dont like super-powered units like that.

Yes. There have been stats for 8 of the Primarchs so far. They are found in:

I have played an Emperors Children with Fulgrim against a Tau Army. Was hilarious.

Fulgrim is a freaking beast with a Storm Eagle dropping him around the table.

I really want the Demon Primarchs for regular 40k, for use with Escalation (Lord of War slot). That would just be swell.

I used Ferrus Manus once in a game and it was fun but crazy how tough he is. The game turned into one big CC battle in the middle of the table with Ferrus in the center of it all. In the end Ferrus didn't take a single wound and the enemy was finally defeated.

Not only would I not want to play them , I would not play vs anyone who would even ASK if they could........ ever.

Now , I will show them why they fear the night.

You could play the Primarchs in a 40K era game.

So if someone sets Ferrus down, you take the model and saw its head off.

if someone sets Girlyman down, you saw its head half-way off and glue it to a chair.

If someone sets Russ down, you just remove it and hide it somewhere, because no one knows where the feth Russ actually went.

if they set Vulkan down, you cut the model up into pieces and throw the bits randomly around the room.

Khan? You put him in black leather slave-boi gear with a Dark Eldar Wytch-Mistress.

Dorn? Cut the hands off and then pour hot wax on the model.

It is best to be a pessimist. You are usually right and, when you're wrong, you're pleasantly surprised.

Well, I was think more of playing games set in the Horus Heresy. Since Forge World seems to be re-imagining the look and feel with their new models, I figured how cool would it be to use them in a Heresy setting game.

But I imagine a game would have to be big enough for them to dominate if not just impact a section of the battle, but not the whole battle.

I hope I get to see them in action one day. I wont buy them or those books, but it would be cool to watch.

Well in a 2000+ pt game using Legion rules (Or Mechanicum for that matter) you can take a single Lord of War which includes among other units, the Primarchs. And while Horus as the most expensive is more then a Baneblade, Fulgrim is not much more then Be'lakor or Fateweaver so it isn't a major stretch to include a Primarch in a a 2500 point list for instance.
Though as Lords of War you still need a HQ to meet the Force Organisation requirements (I think)

By the 37 keys of Tzeentch,We open the way for our brothers,
By the 1000 whispers of Slaanesh we call to them,
By the 12 plagues of Nurgle we fell their enemies,
And by the mighty axe of Khorne we cut open the world for them!

That sounds pretty epic, right about what I'd expect from a Primarch.

Sounds like they're basically designed to be pitted against each other or when a significant handicap is present.

Primarchs on the table would be awesome, but of course it would have to be set up properly. None of this, pop him out on the table with no warning BS. Primarch vs Primarch maybe?

You know I've always hated that... I have to play against people with huge collections and it doesn't matter what I bring they always have something to counter it, just by virtue of owning all the models.

Besides, good luck getting anyone to agree to let you play FW if they don't think they have some way to beat whatever it is you're bringing.

Gets along better with animals... Go figure.

The primarchs are not overpowered at all and anyone whining about you bringing one should be made aware of how many points they cost. I once had a guy complain that Angron could kill the Swarmlord. For 400 effing points he should!

The Primarchs are legit Lords of War for their points cost. You have to bring a delivery system for them also, as all of them are designed for hand to hand combat (at least, currently) so you have to factor in another 200+ points you pretty much have to bring.

But they dominate most things. Anything short of other lords of war get wrecked by them, and for 400-500 points a guy, they should do exactly that. I wouldn't mind if someone brought one to the table providing he was actually running his entire army with the rest of the Horus Heresy books. That's the armies they belong to. One guy I know has a Mortarion model (no idea who the maker of it was, but it's pretty slick) and wanted to run it in a game. I told him hell yeah because I thought it'd be a lot of fun (unique game experiences even if it's a huge crushing loss are SO MUCH BETTER than the average Warhammer 40k game) but I also let him know he probably shouldn't bring him as an HQ for a Chaos Space Marine detachment if he wants to run it in a more "legit" game as that's not the codex he's part of.

Mortarion is unkillable, for the record. Holy gak. So awesome.

Personally out of all the guys who are out right now, I think Vulkan is probably the best one. There's a lot of reasons why but being IMMUNE TO PLASMA is kind of a huge one. T7, reducing pretty much any non-poison, non-bullet weapon damage by half rounded DOWN, 2+/3++ with a bajillion wounds and rerollable IWND.

And my favorite part: You *never* have to roll to hit with him. Both ranged weapons auto-hit anything under hit, and in assault you can substitute your attacks to just put a small template in base contact with himself as long as it's not over any friendlies, and whammo auto-hits on things underneath. Considering how terribly I tend to roll, it's extremely appealing.

IG doesn't have any primarchs , so no am not interested in adding them to the game .

Huh.

I'm personally no fan of IGhammer, and I do love the Primarchs.

Might be getting one... But then, I am playing a homebrew warband. But hey... Unknown primarchs... /opportunity

Homebrewed Primarch, lols.

I wonder if 1d4chan has made rules on the Angry Marines primarch.

Angron just got trouble.

Well, I can see why said Primarch had his records deleted, at least.

The second deleted Primarch is the Primarch of the 1d4chan Legion, the Female Primarch.

Obviously.
