On page 102 of the new Tyranid codex it states: "Any model may take items from the Monstrous Bio-cannons and Biomorphs list.". Page 67 lists wings as a Biomorph upgrade with no written restrictions. Unless I am missing something, would that mean a carnifex, mawloc, trygon could take wings?

It does not say any model may take where are you seeing that?

Sure ,go ahead and put wings on your mawlocs. Where did you find the pont cost? Isn't it on the Tyrant page?

It's only an option on the Tyrant page, it's not listed as a Biomorph on the Wargear list WHICH IS WHERE YOU SELECT THE GEAR ASIDE FROM WHAT IS LISTED ON THE UNIT ENTRY.

The fex entry on 102 is referring to the "Biomorphs" list on page 93. The top of 93 reads - "... many units entries in the army list that follow may include options to select items from one or more of these lists... ... the army list entry will tell you (in bold text) exactly which of these lists you may use." Wings is not listed in the "Biomorphs" section, so you cannot take it as a biomorph. The only units that are able to take wings have the specific entry in their unit entries.
