Honoured Brother Kador is finished!

Did a tiny, not really noticeable conversion on this guy :3 Blood Angels libby dreadnought arm with the spear fully extended (I think it looks better), and I shaved some of the stuff off his arm joints so it points outwards to align with his head.. Yes he's looking at you >_>

This is a good start in a lot of ways. You've got a good grasp of painting white, which is a really big deal, and while your freehand work isn't perfect, it's definitely a good place to start. Keep going and keep practicing.

One thing you might want to consider is going back on the Chaplain model and painting the studs on the bottom of his tabard. Take a detail brush and put a dot of black wash (nuln oil or badab black, whichever) on each of those studs. It will outline the base of each one and tint the stud itself dark enough that metallics or other colors will actually look right when painted over them.

Thanks! This is kind of my freehand project, I'm trying to do symbols on the Terminators, names without the pens and same little sigils and stuff so that means a lot :3

@nerdfest09
Cheers :3 My first comment and it's a good one, hopefully this will spell a good beginning for my project x)

Opinions on glow effect on terminator/chaplain and weathering/blood/glow on the dreadnought?
Also added a bit of freehand (symbol and tiny writing) onto my Captain, and he now has a name! (Hoorah!)
Terminator Johan in his glowy goodness

Chaplain Morien in his glowy goodness :3

Honoured Brother Kador, now with 100% more Grimmy Darkness

Side view (You can see the weathering/blood better :3)

Lothar's freehand stuff

Hope you like!

Wow, you have a really nice army coming along brother of bone.

Considering you are doing white freehand over a black model, it looks fantastic. Black and white paint jobs are the most striking, imo, and your nailing it

Lots of blood effects, which look great. Have you thought about some bodyparts of your favourite enemy on the bases? Make it look like you are really cutting your way through them!

Haha, that's a little funny actually as I've just painted up my (slightly) converted Emperor's Champion, who is replete with a Fire Warrior head on the base! I will post him up most speedily ;3 I love your White Scars by the way, they look fantastic ^_^

I'm no professor of knowledge when it comes to BT's but I know what looks good and these work for me. Excellent use of white (with no airbrush?) and good technique to move forward with. Body part bases are cool and should be a must take for any character....

Haha I /wish/ I had an airbrush. It's Scar White over a base of Eshin Grey :3 Glad you like it

My (sort of) converted Emperor's Champion!
Let me tell you the tale of how this guy came to be.
I bought him off my friend who likes to try and collect an army, and then gets bored of it and sells it to me for a quarter of its price (he's a fun guy).
When I got him from my friend his sword was snapped, thank god for finecrap, and where he usually has his fist stood a plasma pistol.
I checked immediately in the codex to see if Emperor's Champions could take Plasma Pistols.. They could not. I talked to my other friend (plays Tyranids and CSMs, my regular opponent) and he said I should cut off the plasma pistol hand, replace it with a power sword and put a fist where the handle for his broken sword was to mix the stance up a little bit.
And so I did!
This was the result, I hope you like the freehand on the left shoulderpad

I looks like he is pointing at an enemy that is right about to be sliced through with a massive upper cut. Awesome

Thats really interesting freehand, too. Very different to what you have done before. And pulled off really well. What was your inspiration for it?

Thanks!
The inspiration was uhh.. A couple of years ago I saw a Slaaneshi army with deep purple armour and pink swirls...
I bet my friend that I could easily pull off the same thing and failed miserably. I pulled the old guy out while I was painting the EC and I just thought I'd give it a go :3
Glad to know it came out good!

Also I need a name for the next Assault Terminator!

What I've been doing recently xD

My combi-bolter sergeant :3

Gravgun guy for the boltgun squad

Power axe guy for the BP+CW squad

Meltagun guy

Campaign badge ;3 You'll notice them on the right shoulder pad on 3 of the guys, a red circle with a lightning bolt and a half blue, half white square :3 No idea what the campaigns are gonna be yet, but we shall see.
Any ideas?

I like the helmet on the meltaguner.

Maybe you could hit the weapons with another colour to break up the solid silver?

I was thinking I should do that but I quite like the look of the guns on the front of the BT Chapter Upgrade Kit, and they're solid silver so..

Envious of that freehand you've got going on; It seems to be getting better with each picture.

I DID A THING FINALLY
Took a long break from Warhammer but I should be getting back into it with this new influx in money

Just a little Lord Executioner conversion for a Black Templars Captain (yes another one). The Jump Pack went to a good cause; my friend's Corbray conversion. Will be posting it on his behalf I think
