Hey dakka, I have a quick question: would a death guard army ever hire out some world eater berzerker mercenaries?

I'm building up a death guard, all plague marine army... and thought that a small contingent of berzerkers would be cool. Some red in all that green.
thoughts?

Anybody have a story to go with it? A reasonable background?
let me know!
thanks

Nurgle and Khorne have no major problem with each other. I can imagine a campaign that Khornate and Nurgle forces join together.

I need a campaign hook for them.

I was think that a death guard outpost was raided by emperors children, and were down to just a single company. They quickly rallied for allies to wage war with their slaaneshi opponents. World eaters were a natural choice... for obvious reasons (slaanesh Hate)

So now the allied death guard/ world eaters are pillaging every planet in their wake, seeking vengeance (and skulls, lots of skulls) and not stopping until the emperors children are completely "dealt with".

Thoughts?

I used the emperors children because in the campaign, one of our players will be playing emperors children.... plus it fits established fluff.

Khorne hates and wants to murder everything, but he hates and wants to murder Nurgle just a little less than everyone else. It's about as close as you can get to an alliance amongst the chaos gods. War leads to death, which leads to decay. They're like angry bloodthirsty chocolate mixed with rancid fungal peanutbutter.

Pretty much this. And its implied that a lot of Khorne Berserkers (and almost all World Eaters) roam in smallish packs, lending their services as mercenaries in exchange for blood, skulls and pillaging spoils. I could definitely see a Chaos Lord of Nurgle striking a deal with a Khornate Champion.
