I've been playing around with my Crimson Fists lately and have recently gotten my hands on some additional models I wanted to test out.

To change things up a bit and to include some of the new models, I came up with the following list for an upcoming game.

My plans of attack with this list :

Hide the scout bikes out of LOS, and on my turn turbo boost them strait into the teeth of the enemy (in cover if possible) to get optimal placement for my pods with the Locator Beacon

I'll be drop podding in the 2 sterns and the Contemptor on turn one as my alpha strike.

The Contemptor stays in pod, and dakka's away. If he survives first turn he gets Interceptor and Skyfire to assist with flyers

Sterns will most likely combat squad to do the old can-oppener, fry the contents routine but could stay together to dakka from cover (after deploying from pod)

The scouts will hold a backfield objective in cover and snipe from the upper floor of a ruin

The devs go behind the ADL, bolter marine buffed by Signum on quadgun (Tank hunters with IF tactics). They're pod stays empty and either goes to block enemy LOS / movement in a later round or drops in my backfield to save Kill Point (here simply to get pod number to 5)

The captain will go with one of the bike squads, which will both start out of LOS / in cover and then turbo boost around to hit hard targets and get the jink save.

Just got the Captain and the bikes, so wanted to try them out. I tried to keep him cheap (only took him for troop bikes) but wanted to try out the relic as a shooting buff for his squad.

Tactical squad will go in cover or can go in drop pod, depending on deployment

What do you guys think? Any advice or feedback is always welcome.

Yes, forgot to add that to the list. I've updated it.

Captain with the Primarch's Wrath is meh... I personally think Shield Eternal would go much better with your captain. It will buff him insanely too, as he is already on a bike. This will make him a pain in the ass for your opponents.

I agree, It would turn him into a cc monster, however I'll be trying to keep my bikes in a shooting role as long as possible due to the grav weps and am a little leery of upgrading the captain for cc with that in mind.

I could always have him quit the squad to go cc solo, but I've never had much luck with captains going solo.

How would you suggest using him to maximum effect, and what would you suggest cutting to find the points?

Using him w/ Thunderhammer, Arti Armour, SoE on Bike? He can absolutely rip through tanks. He can also kill MC's very easily. He can ALSO draw a lot of firepower.

How survivable will he be with IF tactics instead of IH?

I will definitley give him a try, should be fun to wreck some face

He can work with any Chapter Tactics, however it's a toss up between IH and WS for the best.

Hmmm, trying to rejigger he list to free up the points.

I think i might nix the scout bikes
