Hi,
I'm new to the game and I'm curious can a Tyrannofex use the hole creates by the Trygon and deep strike to the Trygon's position, or is the Tyrannofex too large to use it?

Wait, that can't be right. That would mean Raveners (who are beasts) wouldn't be able to follow a Trygon?

Don't have the dex on hand, but that sounds... no, wait. That sounds like something that would be in this dex...

It is indeed infantry only... as dumb as it is. I'm assuming that its either an oversight or GW figured that Raveners would be fast enough.

I do belive the 5th edition rules also read infantery unit. This are some of the frustration of the 5th edition codex. They have removed some of them (lictors) but some remain.

I also think there was an apoxalypse formation where all the snakes poped up at the same time and ravaners where abel to charge in the same turn. :-)

Another oversight? Like Genestealers only listed as having 'Rending Claws' instead of 2 pairs which are clearly on the base model. Never. I don't believe you...

Last I checked bud, those were hands. 1 set of rending claws, with the option of replacing those useless hands for scything talons. Yep....no second set of rending claws here.

"There is a cancer eating at the Imperium. With each decade it advances deeper, leaving drained, dead worlds in its wake. This horror, this abomination, has thought and purpose that functions on an unimaginable, galactic scale and all we can do is try to stop the swarms of bioengineered monsters it unleashes upon us by instinct. We have given the horror a name to salve our fears; we call it the Tyranid race, but if is aware of us at all it must know us only as Prey."

Yup, pretty much the way they've been for several model versions now.

Raveners can dig anyway, they don't need to use a Trygon's hole.

Yar, ravs were tanked on using the hole last edition, and they are still tanked this edition.

...and yeah, genestealers are modeled with only one set of claws (look at them closely, you'll see the difference), unless you got some second hand that someone put two pairs on for aesthetics or something.

Absolutely, however they still scatter if you aren't using a lictor (which is just as unreliable as the tunnel.)

Not really. They can infiltrate. Stick them midfield in cover, preferable behind BLOS terrain, and they might survive long enough to drop a bunch of dudes right on your opponent's door step.

Hands were always the Rending Claws. It's only the travesty of 5th edition that made the three-claws the rending claws. Go look at the 3rd ed. codex and read the description of rending claws there. Also explains why Lictors have 'hands'.
