ok so if a monstrous creature attacks with a weapon without and AP value are those attacks still counted at AP2 for being a monstrous creature or not??
i'm using Smash as a reference just btw where it says:
All of the close combat attacks, except Hammer of Wrath Attacks, of a model with this specialrule are resolved at AP2

All melee attacks made by a MC are AP2 although I'm not sure about the new Tyranid tail Bio-Morphs.
If you're referring to ranged weapons then no they're always whatever AP it says they are.

Its worth noting that the new tail biomorphs don't get to use the smash rule, so they are not AP 2, and cannot double in str, and their attack must be rolled in a manner that lets you distinguish that attack from the others. What is even more funny is the mace tail has unwieldly so it attacks separately at initiative 1.

Unwieldly weapons used by monstrous creatures and walkers are not resolved at I1, but at normal initiative.
