I want to have 4 squads of 10 of chaos cultist, but what is confusing me is
1 cultist = Xpts
if i exchange the autopistol for an autogun = Xpts
A flamer cultist = Xpts. is the flamer cultist Xpts? or does the Xpts get added to the Xpt base value making it Xpts?
Thank you

A flamer may be given to a cultist for 5pts.
So you buy your 10 cultists, then for 5 more points, a dude gets a flamer, total 55 points.
If you add an additional guy, that's 54pts, then a flamer, is 5 more points, for a total of 59pts for 11 cultists, one with a flamer.
Make sense?
Flamer cultist is always 9pts. (4+5 = 9) He's not 10 pts (4+1(autogun)+5 = 10) as you don't trade an autogun for a flamer.

It is a 5pts upgrade similar to the 1pt upgrade for the autogun making it 9pts total for the cultists. HOWEVER If you are taking a squad of ten cultists then 50pts is the cost of said unit and then 5pts for the flamer is added to the alround cost of the unit making the unit 55pts. Do you understand?

You look at the base price of the unit and what its comprised of.
you shouldnt post point limit's because it breaks the rules of the forum, But basically you take a sqaud which costs x amount, than you can add pistols which is the amount of the upgrade times the number of models in the unit so 10 Guns is 10 points extra, than you can add a flamer for additional points.
