Been fun watching the progress on this KS, even if it has been a bit slow. Look forward to finally getting my pledge. Hopefully we'll finally see what the Vulture Demon minion looks like.

Wasn't it the hatchling thing he showed?

Long story short, Jeremy has been travelling, he's about to do some more travelling. Factories are still being inspected. Models are still being printed.
People are pretty antsy but he's talking up the models as amazing. When we finally get them...

He "promised" he'd transcribe the video right after and post that up for people who don't want to listen to him blather on anymore about how awesome his models are (my words not his exact words). Still nothing posted, so another promise down the drain. Plus calling anyone with negative feedback a troll rates right up there. I was a big supporter, but saw the writing on the wall with all his holidays, trips and excuses. I got my money back and I'm glad I'm out. Call me a troll all you want Jeremy, but I follow up on my promises and don't feel the need to post videos of myself and give wishy washy answers to a timeline. Last print is still not done, and he mentioned a ways back that there were some parts needing reprints. Plus still inspecting factories??? Seriously??? I would put more faith in Tony Reidy making good on the defiance games kickstarter than this being completed by March. I'm only still following out of personal interest in what "super secret" free model I now missed out on, and to continue to watch the train wreck.
Hopefully I haven't violated rule 1 of DakkaDakka, but I'm so over Jeremy and all his .

THe Ibram arts kickstarter is/was also really late with the owner Jody doing lots of oddball things as well. I think it has finally shipped though, maybe not completely, but has shipped a majority of its goods.

I'm with you on this. Fortunately (from my perspective) he managed to discourage me from ever backing in the first place, as his reaction to someone's comment (may have even been mine, looong time ago!) about making parts to make the models suitable for other roles in Warhammer (because they're utterly impossible to use as counts as models now) was sufficient to convince me this wasn't a person I wished to do business with.
That, and the fact that he was everybody's best friend here on Dakka right up to the point where he had the money, and then never posted again...
Shame, if the product ever actually makes it into the wild I'm sure it will be lovely.

I am in this for one model. Part of me thinks "Hey, I have been waiting on some Mierce stuff for at least as long." Then the other part points out that Mierce is probably an order of magnitude less likely to run off with the money and leave everyone hanging, and at least gets things done and shipped periodically as opposed to never.

Didn't the Mierce head guy do exactly that with his previous company though?

THe comments and update section of the KS keep me going back to see all the "FUN" i'm missing out on.
Between his most recent video where he is still wishy washy on what he will be doing in the future: A wave 2 Creature Caster, Doing more traditional sculpting, painting, or wait for it.......becoming a Yoga Instructor . THat and his break down a ways back where he apologized to everyone for failing them and then needing to go on a retreat for a while really got me. I understand stress and trying to please people, but some laundry should stay in the basement and not be aired out in the front lawn.
THe one glimmer of hope I have for you guys is that he suppossedly hasn't touched the kickstarter funds at all. Which means there should not be any reason for this not to ship.....eventually.

No, not really?
Also - before this spirals hopelessly Off Topic, and yes, I contributed to it, let's try to restrict the conversation here to the facts...here?

Oh yea, he totally did. My statement was more a comment on how little I can trust Jeremy here, not really one about how much faith I have in Mierce! As I said though, Mierce does actually make things and send them to people, people I know personally and so have actually touched the goodies. Their goodies. And they were good. Thus far it has been many a year since I have seen Jeremy produce anything he sent to a customer. I know he has done it before, but it has been a long time.
I've had dealings with Jeremy as a customer and as an event organizer where I bought some Ultraforge stuff and he provided Ultraforge minis for an event I ran. Both times he was great to work with. I think a small operation like his having so much success can be a huge stress on him. I don't have any worries that he will deliver or that they will be amazing models. It seems the internet will fly into a rage at the first sign of things not going completely perfect. I think this thread is an example of that. Similar things were said about the Raging Heroes Kickstarter and I got all my minis even though they were late.
If I were Jeremy and had received the backlash and internet hate that he has for the project being behind schedule I would be thinking long and hard before I committed to a second kickstarter also. We are all human and nothing any of us do is perfect so lets keep that in mind before we haul him out into the square to be drawn and quartered for his treacherous behavior.
That is my two cents and the way I approach this campaign. I even added to my KS pledge when I had to lock in. I'm not worried at all. Thanks.
Being stressed out as part of a small operation doesn't make him a special snowflake, it makes him the same as everyone else. If he can't deal with the pressure, he should have been self aware enough to take that on board and either seek assistance with the project or just not do it at all.
This thread isn't an example of people flying into a rage at the first sign of things not going completely perfectly, it is an example of people being frustrated that their product was delayed from a project that was at least in part predicated on how close to realisation it was, and witnessing the project manager disappearing to 'find himself' and frankly appearing to do an awful lot of fannying about rather than just get in and get the bloody thing done.
He hasn't been subject to some sort of force majeure, if he's been subject to any sort of backlash then he's simply brought on himself, either by prevaricating or simply over promising in the first instance. Nobody's perfect, but everybody is accountable.
When all is said and done, the buck stops firmly at his feet, and he's failed to deliver on his promises, quite spectacularly. People are entitled to their frustration at being let down, and there is no other target but him.

My main issue is his communication. I don't have time to watch a 1 hour video to get updates or "hang out" with someone online. I have a job, family, and a life. Just type me out an update and send it as an UPDATE not leave it buried in the comments section or put it in one of your rambling videos.
