While it is very unusual it has also seemed to have an alluring cult forming effect on the comments section. Despite the horrible business practices and dubious excuses there has always been a chorus of support for him even in the midst of the most ridiculous parts of this saga. (coffeegate etc)

He spilled coffee on his work computer and instead of using some of the several hundred thousand dollars he raised for the project to just buy a new one, he spent months trying to get it fixed, and it never did work right after numerous trips to the repair shop.

Just my wishlisting but I think he should offer discounted or free shipping to apologize for the overdue project. Raging Heroes did a bonus wave as a way to get people back on board with how overdue their first project was. Any tangible token would be nice.

At this point I'll be happy with receiving a good quality product before year end. As long as the stuff is good I'll be mollified, not like I'm desperate to get my one piece asap, but if the molds are crap i'll be upset.I wouldn't expect any type of compensation, jeremy hasn't acknowledged any inadequacies on his part from what I've seen. This has all been a fabulous journey for all involved so far (in his mind at least).

Is the free miniature that was promised to backers now just vapor? I don't recall hearing much about it in the last 6+ months or so? I'm assuming that isn't going to happen. While it would be awesome for Jeremy to provide something as an apology for how the campaign has been run, I agree with JWBS--Jeremy doesn't see the same problems we are seeing. Remember only a few months ago everyone complaining about delays were haters.

I had to dig through the comments back to May 17th to find the link. He never bothered to put the link or a pic I. An official update. Still not sure if he even has a print for this one yet either.

Had to look back through the thread to find it, but it's been shown:

The Vulture Demon Minion is not the same as the free mini Jeremy was promising to put in everyone's package. The "super secret mini" has not been addressed for a long time and I assume it's not going to happen.

That's not true, the super secret mini is still a thing, it's cast in Jeremy's favourite material to work with, hot air. His fans love it.

It's probably a coffee demon. Destroying the computer and soon to spill on the lap of the driver taking the casts to the shipping facility and causing the truck to go over a cliff. Of course it will be Jeremy's favorite ever truck, so there will have to be ample healing time, then he'll have to get a tattoo to commemorate the accident. Then maybe he'll decide to deal with the destroyed parts by making another print run or not...but that won't happen until after mourning has happened and a spa weekend releives him of his stress.

Update #86

Feb 21 2016

A few production pics and a look at the sprues

Just finished reviewing dozens of new pieces today. Had a long meeting and went over some of the finer points of each piece. Most of all, was super impressed with how the pieces are looking.

Here you can see a few production pieces. Notice how thin the vent tubes are. This will make for extremely easy clipping and trimming. The mold lines are almost completely invisible, and there is a faint wisp of webbing in a few areas.

The large block on the top, which is the fill block, will be trimmed off. We just kept these ones on for inspection purposes.

Every time I see those big square block joints I am reminded how solid these models fit together. Everything in production is going well. We are however two weeks behind on our goals so we have hired an extra hand to catch up and stay on target.

There have been a few people asking for the final ship date. I have been fairly explicit in the past when saying that I would not give you a final ship date because that date is very subject to change. There are far to many unforeseeables. This is usually why companies estimate by the quarter, not the date. Having said that, I know you are eager to find out when you are getting your miniatures. Know that when we are about halfway done our units I will be offering an estimated ship date for your miniatures. Until then, we are going to keep going as fast as we can.

We will also be opening up the pledge manager once again to accept payments for shipping in the future. You will be getting lots of notifications about this. It will also be a chance for you to check and update your shipping address.

I want to send out a huge personal thank to Kenny for doing a great job keeping in touch with the backers and for managing the pledges like a boss. Going thru this would not have been the same without you. On behalf of all the backers and myself, thank you!

I will be back soon with another update with lots more pics and news on the conversion.

Latest update- he's basically just painting up a Warrior Daemon. Which looks pretty nice to be fair! Spoiler'd for convenience.

Painting the Warrior Demon
Here is a quick look at the work done so far on the Warrior Demon I am painting for the studio and website.
Spoiler:

The model primed up very nicely and the adherence to the resin is excellent. The details are deep and crisp and paint up with ease.

I went with a black primer, which is rare for me, but it is just what I had around. I am using Citadel paints, again, because its just what I had laying around. I have no real preferences with paints or brushes. I will use whatever is in front of me.

Of course, I can not wait until you have your models in front of you and begin sharing your paint jobs. We still have a ways to go before shipping, but I am committed to reporting lots of paintings and conversions until then to make this time enjoyable.

Update folks... No pics cause he appears to be posting from a mobile device.

Update #89 from Creature Caster: First Wave

Mar 7 2016
on the road... just a quick one

Hey all. Hope you had a great week.

I have been in and out of painting projects and conversions while working. Most of my effort is currently being placed on shipping and I have narrowed things down to two scenarios. These options being the original plan of fleet/hub shipping, and the option of shipping the models out from Canada as they are finished.

No, we are not diverting from the original plan for shipping until it is demonstrably evident that it is of the greatest benefit to all backers if we do.

In the next update I will outlining the pros and cons of each option. So far you have been very helpful in providing your feedback. I really appreciate your input.

Now that these models are in front of me I am extremely eager to get them out to you. The casts have become a reality and I cant wait for you to enjoy them.

We have just remolded a few parts to better hide their mold lines. The Spider Demon has so really smooth areas and her lines are very important. We are looking very closely at her butt and legs. Most people in the campaign got Spider Demons so we are making sure everything is perfect for the thousands of casts needed.

The Plague Angel looks so good it is creepy. I swear the resin casts somehow look better than the printed masters. It must has something to do with the very slightly translucent quality of the grey resin. Seeing these models in resin feels so good.

I am finishing up work here in Vancouver and then I am back off to the casting facility to go over packaging, shipping weights and rates. I should have a lot more to report the next time I write you. In the meantime, I hope everyone is having a great week. Be excellent to each other

Jeremy

The frequent communication lately is a huge plus. Great to hear that he has two ideas on shipping options and will be laying them out next week. I'd love to be able to get the tree creature sent, since that's all I'm waiting on and it looks to be ready!

I really hope he put as much love into the Pincer Demon as the Spider Demon and the other seemingly more popular models.

Little update tonight, big update on Thursday
Posted by Jeremy Glen (Creator)
Lots of stuff of the go.

Models being painted! Some here in the studio and some from local professionals. It will be really nice to keep giving you a steady stream of painted model pics over the next month.

Everyone has been very forthright with their opinions of shipping, and your input is always appreciated. Kenny is doing an excellent job prepping the PM to receive shipping payments. I am having a big factory meeting on Tuesday to specifically look at shipping options.

I will also have quite a few more factory pics when I do the next update on Thursday. I hope to have some YouTube vids done over the next few weeks as well. If my digital SLR films miniature painting well after some tests, I hope to do some commentary over painting vids. I will let you know how that goes.

A short update, but I will be back soon. Everything is gliding along beautifully. Seeing the miniatures coming out in such stunning quality is really invigorating! Lots more pics on Thursday.

I hope everyone had a great weekend and enjoy your week.
