Hey, I am starting a FMC daemon army. Do you guys think if I used the Ushabti models and placed them on 60mm raised bases this would be ok as DP's?

I also was thinking about how to convert wings on them easily and do you think these (http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catalog/productDetail.jsp?prodId=prod1280034) would be suitable?

Trying to figure this all out before I start spending money and if anyone has suggestions that would be great!

those wings are way to big for ushabti. and ushabti are kind of small for daemon princes. they are more on the size level of Wraith Guard then the daemon prince model. If your looking to give them wings then the dark Eldar scourges are much better for their size. I am also pretty sure the box of ushabti only comes with one of the bird models, so it seems like a bit of a money sink when you could combine the daemon prince with any of the fantasy gryphons for a MUCH bigger and more badass looking model for a tzeentch prince, at about the same price.

I knew the models were smaller than the normal DPs but I thought they'd be bigger than wraithguard =/

I was planning on using all models in the kit cause I needed 3 princes and I am using fatey and loc already.

they are a BIT bigger then wraith guard because they are quite lanky, but they are less then half as wide as a daemon prince and more then a head shorter, I think they would look to thin and scrawny, and that almost unilaterally translates to people crying modeling for advantage.

this. I was talking about giving a space marine 2 thunder hammers and a stormbolter (no advantage, just for looks) and some neck beard guy almost screamed at me for "tyrin' a get too many weapons".
thunder hammers are unwieldy anyway.

I use my three for mutliators of Tzeentch in my 1k Sons army.

I originally used them as Demon Princes, but that was before the current plastic kit made Demon princes get roid rage and go on 60mm bases.

So basically they were pretty neat for about two months and then BAM! Totally useless.
