Subject: Struggling to make efficent Eldar list @ 1500 points.

So I have this Eldar army and I can make a decent/good 1000 point army, but nowadays I've started to play more games of 1500/1850/2000 points and it has been really tough for me to make a list that doesn't include every unit I have.
So right now I own:
- Farseer
- 3 Warlocks
- Autarch
- Asurmen
- Wraithlord
- 5 Wraithblades
- 5 Wraithguards
- 10 Guardians
- 15 Dire Avengers
- 2 War Walkers
- single Grav-tank (can be played as any of them)
- 6 Striking Scorpions
- 6 Swooping Hawks
So how could I make a good list of all these? Craftworld I play is Biel-Tan so I wish that it could be Aspect Warrior heavy list with a tank or two.
Note that I don't mind buying more stuff (I'm planning to buy another tank and 5 Dire Avengers more at least).
Any ideas?

Hiya!
Welcome to the Eldar scene, the models you got are quite decent for a 1500 list, but are you playing for fluff or competitive?
The aspect warrior that is good now is Dire Avengers, Warp spiders.
Try to get 2 wave serpents,2 is enough for your transport back bone. You could also get windrider jetbikes, they are great for objective camping and reaching them. Get 1 more war walker so you could complete the squadron, they pack a huge punch and quite cheap for the price. But if you want, you could always get Wraithknight, that thing could soak up firepower and dish a lot too.You could always rely on Fire prism
It mainly depends on you dude, the Eldar codex is quite diverse in its army list,so try it yourself!!
Feel free to ask more questions

List of most competitive units; laughing sear. Wave serpents. War walkers. Warp spiders.
Bad units. Banshees, falcon, Phoenix lords, vibro canons, other flyer besides crimson Hunter, and harliquens.
Every thing else can be used well as long as there a theme and its not a random collection of units.
Hope that helps.

Thanks for the input! Yea, I've gathered a somewhat good idea of what units are good and which ones suck, but I seem to have a problem in making a list with a good synergy between units :/ I'm not going to go for fluff only, but just noted that full Jetbike/Serpent lists like Saim-Hann or full Wraiths like Iyanden are off the table. So I was thinking that my basic core would be having: - Asurmen - Spiritseer - 5x Wraithguard - 2x 10 Dire Avengers - 3x War Walkers - Either a Wave Serpent or Fire Prism That would bring me close to 1150 points with uprgades, so what should I buy next? I'm also intrested in having a small squad (5 bodies) of either Scorpions or Dire Avengers in a Falcon, but everywhere I go people seem to think that Falcons suck. Any opinions here?

Executing Exarch
|
The falcon is actually pretty good, but it is totally overshadowed by the wave serpent, which is outright amazing. If you want a falcon, you are going for the pulse laser. The range and strength of the pulse laser is something the serpent can't do. Your second falcon gun should be either the scatter laser or bright lance. Holo fields are required.
You need your wraithguard in a serpent, but avengers CAN be ok on foot. Better in a serpent, so getting another would be a good bet. 1 squad of 10, one squad of 5(5 man in a serpent)
Asurmen is a very expensive HQ for what he does, but if you use him right he is ok. Get him into combat with something big and nasty ASAP(which is hard to do) and use him to tank bullets for a unit. If you get fates messanger as one of his warlord traits, he becomes almost unkillable.
Swooping hawks are really good and fit your aspect theme. 6 naked, or 5+exarch with a sunrifle are both good builds.

The Falcon doesnt suck, it is ust like serling said, completely outclassed by the waveserpent. Better survivability, cheaper, more trnasport capacity, and it better in almost everyway when shooting.
5 man dire avengers in serpents are very good, i would go for that.

Alright, thanks for your opinions!
Does anyone have a good 1500 point lists that use models I currently own? (+ total of three new boxes at most)
Any ideas appreciated!
My current list for 1250 points is:
Asurmen
Spiritseer
(three Warlocks stalking)
5 Striking Scorpions
5 Wraithguard
10 Dire Avengers
10 Guardians
Wraithlord
Falcon
I sometimes give the Guardians a single Warlock and/or make the Falcon a Serpent for the Wraithguard.
But it's not so good list IMO, I'm restricted by the models I own.

Heres a list with 3 boxes.
hq
spirit sear 70
farseer on bike with mantle of the laughing god, singing spear 160 (if your farseer is on a bike)
elites
5 striking scorpains
wave serpent, tl scatter lasers, shuiken cannon, holo fields.
troop
5 dire avengers
wave serpent, tl scatter lasers, shuiken cannon, holofields.
5 wraithgaurd
wave serpent, tl scatter lasers, shuiken cannon, holofeilds.
10 gardians, warlock, weapon platform.
Swooping hawks, x6
leaves around 25 points.
3 wave serpents, (not spam, but enough to be competitive)
wraithgaurd with spirit sear for anti tank, swooping hawks for anti infintry, gaurdains for backfeild scoring, and striking scorpains to infiltrate one of your wave serpents
Only thing you would need to buy is 2 wave serpents.

Looks nice!
Unfortunately I don't have Jetseer (yet) so atm I guess he'll go hanging with the DA or Guardians in Serpents. I'll definetly try it once I get the two Serpents, but before it how about dropping one Serpent to make a 10-man-squad of DA instead of five?
Also, what would you add on 1500 point list?

So I created a core of somewhat 1000 points, which I might later build into a 1500 points. C&C appreciated!
Spiritseer - 70p
10 Wraithguard - 320p
5 Dire Avengers - 210p
(in a Wave Serpent, TLSL; Holo-fields, Shuri Cannon)
5 Dire Avengers - 210p
(same here)
6 Swooping Hawks - 96p
2 War Walkers - 140p
So this is 1046 points, what do you think about it?
I realise that the Wguard are slow, but their job is mainly to walk into middle objective and withstand the fire as my Serpents flank the weak units and harass infantry. In the end game they'll drop the DA for objectives.
After I've made some purchases, I'll get another WW into that group. What to add on 1500 points? Some bikes for mobile strike? Night spinner for ranged support? 20 Guardian blob maybe?

Very nice list seams very solid.
If you want to do something thats fun, add 4 more spirit sears to the spirit sear (using the iyanden supplement) and put them all into a giant blod of wraithguard. Ive done this and its quite fun. Not uber competitive, but fun.
If you want to go the competitive route with your list try and get a wraithknight. Then i would split the wraithguard into 2 5 man squads, get another serpent for one, drop one 5 man squad of dire avengers, and then move the serpent over to the other wraithguard squad. So both wraithguard squads have waveserpnts. This leaves you with 70 points, enough for another war walker (2 sets of 2), a ranger squad with a ghost walk matrix on a waveserpnt, or another spirit sear.

The wraithguard in the open are a big target... I really would suggest getting a wave serpent for two squads of five, just because it is really good.

For fast attack options hawks and spiders are cool, but for a fast themed army vypers with SL and shurkin cannons are great for anti air and anti hoards.

If you can afford it (financially), I'd definitely split the WG up and have 4-5 Wave Serpents in that list. The Wraithknight is extremely expensive for what it does - with the Scatter Laser and Suncannon, you're looking at 300 points - you could have 7 Fire Dragons, and upgraded exarch and another Wave Serpent for the same cost, and it would fit in well with your Biel Tan army and the large numbers of Aspect warriors they field.
Entirely dependent on how you want to play your army, though. The Laughing Seer with a Singing Spear is pretty great at jetting behind enemy lines and throwing a S9 show at vulnerable vehicle rear armour.
I'd even consider dropping a unit of Wraithguard and getting 8 Guardian bikes with 3 Shuriken Cannons - that's 166 points, but is a faster unit for scoring. Won't have the toughness, but you'll always get a cover save and you can boost across the board to claim objectives whilst your Wave Serpents ping at priority targets.

If/When you buy a wraithknight, don't pay for upgrades! They are best when taken as stock. The only time to upgrade one is if you are taking perhaps 3! Then it might be an idea. But 2 heavy cannons are good, and his speed makes him a beast in combat! At 240 points he can take on almost anything of similar points in combat!
