Q: Hi.
I've given up all hope with gw continually squeezing people for money for things that they don't need or should have been put in with other things (yes i mean the codex supplements) and then making theses exclusive in a certain format. so yesterday i finally snapped and began wondering about what would be the perfect wargaming company that is gamer friendly and what would people expect or want from it which is why i am asking you guys the gamerz and artists about what would make a good war-game

The poll is silly. All of those things can make a good wargame setting.
As for what makes a good wargame itself, that is dependent on the rules and gameplay mechanics.

Every options you list relates to the narrative you have behind the game. While that's an important (vital) part of what makes a succesful wargaming product, it's has nothing to do with what makes a good wargame, if you grasp the differences here.
And there's no point discussing what makes a good wargaming narrative, beyond the very obvious and basic, because good narrative creation should avoid being broken down to formulas.
If you want to ask yourself what makes a good wargame, then the answers are obvious (but their implementation obviously isn't...) : a solid writing staff with an involved creative director who's in constant contact with an equally involved playtesting and rule-writing team, an intelligent marketing direction, a severe workaholic in charge of distribution, and good sculpting.
First comes the product itself, the marketing and the pricing. Then comes the rules. Then comes the narrative.

That game is hilarious. Automatically Appended Next Post: I would like to see a steampunk space adventure using small groups (10-20 people) instead of giant armies with each race or faction being uniquely designed.
