Anyone else feel like GW purposley spreads the feet on models as far apart as possible so we have to spend 80 hours trying to get the perfect balance of foot position on the tiny little black circle things?

Sometimes I feel like GW originally intended for Necron Warriors to use 40mm bases.

Necrons: 4000+ pts
Tyranids: 1000+ pts
Word Bearers: 1500+ pts
Emperor's Children: 1500+ pts
Minotaurs: 2000+ pts (killed by Primaris, thanks GW)

Glue coins or some other sort of weight under the bases like everyone else .

Exactly, I was doing a box of warriors and lychguard and ended up just raging and breaking 2 warriors :c

You can glue them with one leg on the base centric and they don't fall over.

I feel the same way sometimes. I was basing some Dire Avengers using some Polyfill on he base then putting the model on and the feet are pretty close to the edges and have to balance the model

I also hate the Firewarrior feet too, they are just very oddly shaped and take some filing to get the balance right since it has such small surface area.

If you think that's a problem you should try building some Hormagaunts. Bloody things require 3 tonnes of counterbalance under the bases just to keep them upright.

buy proper glue.

With this stuff, if the foot and base are even close enough to wave at eachother, they're gonna stick.

isn't that the truth, same with Necrons though, they just aren't made for those bases.... Not by a long shot. I have to say though, orks and space marines fit perfectly on them. So..... Buy a new army?

Most of the Grey knights will only have half of each foot on the base. I'd hardly call it fitting perfectly

Yeah, now that you mention it. The Orks are so bow legged that their feet often stick off the edge on both sides of the base. It's never really bothered me though. Their feet are so big there's still lots of surface area making contact.

I'd rather have the ones, where the legs are too far apart to fit completely on the base... Then the ones with one foot up off the ground, so you only have one point of contact to glue to the base....... Always breaks off.

I like to say I have two armies: Necrons, and Imperium.....

It's a huge pain in the butt when feet hang off the edge of a base. Every game system seems to have this issue. So many models with chipped feet...

Incidentally, that looks like 30mm (Warmachine) bases

I really need to stay away from the 40K forums.

Space marine assault marines.... all nice and dynamic leaping off the base but held on by the toes of one foot. Yep, broke a base off of one of those just this past weekend....

This is not my model, I just managed to find a picture of the correct model on google. But anyway, I have this model, which is metal, with a tiny contact surface, cut off from the metal piece to be slotted into the slit bases because I have my sisters on clear plastic bases, and glued on with the glue I mentioned earlier.

I have had no problems, and imagine I might break the foot off of the model before breaking it loose from the base.

Use proper glue.
