Are the fumes as dangerous to breathe in as, say, plastic cement? Or is ventilation still required to use the plastic glues?

Just starting out...

Citadel paints are water-based and, as far as I know, entirely non-toxic.

It is best to be a pessimist. You are usually right and, when you're wrong, you're pleasantly surprised.

The plastic glue does smell a bit but so far I have only experienced mild seizures and impotence.

You could open a couple of windows but then Canada...

Good plastic glue is solvent based so it's obviously toxic (and you can get high if you try hard enough heh). Paints are less intense but some pigments are toxic by definition, like heavy metals etc - it's not significant as long as you don't eat it though, and even then I doubt the harmful effects unless you use it for butter.

I doubt fumes can do any harm though if you have small kids in the room just don't paint, better safe than sorry.

From the initial Age of Sigmar news thread, when its "feature" list was first confirmed:

A collosal, terrible, flaming, hysterical train wreck with burning clowns running around spraying it with seltzer bottles while ring masters cry out how everything is fine and we should all come in while the dancing elephants lurch around leaving trails of blood behind them.

How could I look away?

Ahahaha. I truly laughed out loud at this comment. So true about Canada though. Currently -21°C where I live (near Toronto). Pretty damn chilly.

Gw glue is utter garbage. I complained to their customer service once about it and that they ruined a bunch of my chaos models and they sent me more of the stuff... like I'm ever going to use this trash after last time

I haven't had any issues with the plastics glue they offer.

In regards to the paint, there isn't even an odor. Acryllic water-based paints are safe to eat, if you wanted.

After my experiences I'll probably never use p[plastic glue again. It's super glue for everything now days (I use Zap-A-Gap, but brand names are pretty irrelevant). It just works better and it doesn't melt detail if you accidentally get it on some part of the model.

As far as the paints go, I've never even noticed any fumes or odor at all from them. I'd say you should be 100% safe as long as you don't chug the dang things like they're shot glasses or something.

Got an old pot of Devlan Mud? Open 'er up and take a whiff. I'd say it smells like a bad public toilet, but that's being unfair to bad public toilets.

Now I'm jealous. The winter here has been horribly warm so far, not even a single day below 0°C

GW glue is crap. I use Revell glue, and it works great. It also smells really nice.
