Ok so i can get a deal on a buch of new eldar stuff in the box still

All for 150 is this a good beginning to a eldar army yes i know with out there troop transport they will not be any good .

Iv gotten 2 unopened valks, 6 unopened razorbacks, 2000 points in black templar, 1000 points in sisters and a bunch of other stuff for about 150.

Oh and an unopend old tau battle force, another 1500 in tau, eldar MEGA force, At least 200 cadens in the same purchase.

Edit: another edit: And a gianormus LoTR lot that i had no care for so i traded for 150 + 2 more valks.

I learned to find good ebay deal by memorizing what GW wanted for certain troops and then only buying if it was %15 or more discount.
For example: Box of Ork Boyz from GW $27. I know that boyz are worth buying if they are being sold for less that $25. And that's WITH shipping. If shipping made it over $27 then buying it at a FLGS would be better.

That's 280 bucks roughly for 150. Its a good deal. Not a complete army mind you but good troop choices. You could really round it out with about another 200-300 bucks and have a great army.

I will be getting a codex with what units i listed but if for only 200-300 more i might just get ever thing at once so so what would be good to round out the list i posted

Good starting points are as follows If you want to play heinous cheese its a little different.
Farseer or Spiritseer (makes WG troops)
2 Wave Serpents
1 Fire Prism
Warp Spiders (10)
2-3 War Walkers
That's about 300 there.

As for what to add to this I would add:
2 wave serpents
5 warp spiders
5 swooping hawks (I like the models way better than warp spiders and they are useful)
1 Wraithlord
2-3 Warwalkers
If you already have the farseer you could pick up a spiritseer

thats $330-350ish canadian and you can get it from a discounter in the states for 20% off

In regards to rounding out, it depends on what style you want to play. For example:
Iyanden - some Spiritseers, more Wraithguard, a Wraithknight, some Wave Serpents.
Biel-Tan - more Dire Avengers, Wave Serpents, possibly an Autarch, Swooping Hawks, Warp Spiders, etc.
Saim-hann - unless you are good at conversions, stay away. Everybody on bikes.
Ulthwe - Another Farseer, a bunch of Warlocks, a crap ton of guardians.

As people have said, its a good deal, depending on the condition of the models.

you have a good start to troops, so you need to build up the army how you want to play it. heavy support and a nice elite (or fast attack).

If you can get a deal on an eldar battle force (some stores tend to offer a better discount on these to get you hooked) that would get you more troops (dires and guardians, choices are good) and the sexy wave serpent.

Play a few games with what you have and see if you like the units. don't be afraid to barter with other local players or people online. Say if you dont like wraith guard (slow unless you run Iyanden) you could trade them for warp spiders.

so is everything 50% off, and you decided thats there whole eldar lot, or there other eldar thats 50% off, but thats what you want? because theres better things to buy. Its not a bda start, but if you can get 1-2 waveserpnts...

Idk about wave serpent as if i run any at all be a waac cheesy player

1-2 Serpents is not WAAC nor cheesy. 6-8...then it slides more toward that terminology.

Ok can some one explain differences in the eldar tanks because the all look same. also why do people not use the eldar transport that can hold more guys not a fan of small squads to easy to take out

No one can kill your small squad while they are in the Wave Serpent. It's easy to stagger out turn 5 to claim objectives after you have burned all opposition to the ground with mass S6/7 shooting.

I no wave serpent are op but after reading the codex i dontt see how just as easy to take out as all vehicles are now

2 Serpents gets called spam at my store, even if only one has SLs. 1 even gets me dirty looks. Makes Mechdar hard to play (and I love mechdar!)

I just don't see how wave serpent are op what am i missing to me it looks no harder to take out then a rhino

They are av 12 12 10 and on the front and sides have a shield that can on a die roll reduce pens to a glance.
But honestly there is something wrong with your meta if people are freaking out over 2 Wave Serpents.

2 wave serpent are op because it will take a lot of overwhelming firepower to kill them

As much as I dislike Eldar, 2 Wave Serpents do not require Overwhelming fire power to destroy. Not by any means.
