As I am planning and expanding my Hassassin collection it occurred to me when building a list what does one do when they expect to face off against the Tohaa or CA, lets say in an ITS environment. The Fidays are a huge part of the Hassassin list and are completely useless against the alien factions.

So My guess is you would have to build two lists, one with them, one without. Thoughts?

Despite the Fidays being the most 'iconic' Hassassin unit, it's perfectly doable to have lists without them. Meet mister Lasiq and mister Ragik, Fidays forsaking Impersonation for Viral weaponry and camo cloaks, and AD:3 respectively. Then there are the Muyibs and Asawira. Two lists would be a good idea. Fidays are very killy, so you might take them in your non-objective list. OTOH, they're very useful for protecting Yasbir and the Farzans who complete objective. It's all up to you. If the anti-alien list doesn't fit the scenario, it might be worth remembering that against the EI and Tohaa, they're still camoflaged, and especially the one with mines does still have it's uses.

Sounds like you're misreading the Impersonation skill.

Fidays still get Impersonation against Tohaa and CA, it's just that they start in 'State 2- Characterized' with a single no-modifier Discover needed, instead of starting in 'State 1- Unnoticed' and needing a Discover at -6 followed a second Discover at -0.

Plus as you say you get two lists in ITS anyway.

I wouldn't worry about the worse performance of Impersonation vs CA or Tohaa, you wouldn't face them in every game anyway. Even if in 2 out of 3 games the Fiday starts in Characterized, I don't see it as a problem.

However, you should definitely try picking the Muyib Link, Ragik HMG, Lasiq combi or Farzan as the Bahram is not only about Fidays.

Ohh don't worry I love the look of the Hassassins, so like Pokemon I have to collect them all.

I think BD's a bit busy at the moment, I'm sure he'll be back in force at some point.

Rise again my topic!

Anyways, so that way I read that is it would just function as a half as**d version of infiltration then, I would still deploy the Fiday in the middle band, he would just be easier to shoot then normal.

Sure, but for the normal 'deploy within 4" of the obvious LT in the enemy DZ' suicide run it makes no difference at all.
