So I've been decently busy this month. got a full 10 man MoK squad, Chaos Lord and a hellbrute finished, as well as 5 DA and finishing off a dreaddy. The Chaos are up for sale on ebay here:http://www.ebay.com.au/usr/mtay5490

Not sure what to say in regards to these.

At first glance they look a bit gak, the eyes aren't very good and could use some refining and some of your metal sucks, but then on a closer inspection your freehand is amazing, and I like the airbrushed metal on the axes. The skin on the Helbrute is too flat in my opinion.

Max they look fine don't let people like this discourage you from your hobby. You only get better over time.

The chaos lord is a wannabe alpha legion, thinks that wearing that symbol will trick the loyalist.

The Gold NMM is stupendous!

The conversions aren't to my taste but overall they look pretty darn good!

BoB, I would venture that there isn't a bit of airbrushing going on with these models. this is what actual good blending looks like.

Thanks for commenting on the singular drybrushed model in my gallery, painted about 3 years ago.
And, I was genuinely saying that I liked the airbrushing (or what I thought to be airbrushing) and I commented on his amazing freehand.
I'd agree on the conversions and the oldschool style of the model just puts me off them.

The middel marine on the 3rd picture is amasing.

Your metal and shoulder pads are very good.

Your colour scheme is at it's best when it is up close. When I see them from afar all I see is just "black" with random colours on it. You might want to try to use a spot colour more consistently for this. (Red and gold perhaps. They go very good with black.) Now they are black with "metal" wich is a bit booring with added random colours added.

I do not want to sound harch. Your painting skills are exstremly good. It is just your colour composition that comes out bad since your freehand is so good.

Your hellbrute use bright colours to draw the eyes to hand hands and the flesh on it's back. This is the more booring part of the model as the front is where the action is. Try to paint all the metals into gold (not just the one shoulder and claw.) Darken the flesh a lot more so that it does not stand out so bright.

I like these but it reminds me more of Black Legion than Khornates at first glance. Also +1 on the freehanding, what bit did you use for that icon of wrath?

All good, criticism is how we learn. No airbrushing here fellas. The icon of wrath is a Chaos Marauder battle standard. In retrospect the marines do have a bit of a bland colour scheme, but that's mainly due to the fact that I modelled them ages ago as Fallen Angels. Only recently decided to paint them up and sell them, haha.

I like your hellbrute thats the flesh/armour ratio I used good job!! I think its good to be individual so keep doing them the way you want !
