Thinking of entering in a 100 point tournament coming up. Here are some list that I am thinking of doing.

4x Tie academy pilots
1x Firespray Bounty Hunter
1x HowlRunner

or

1x Wedge not sure one the upgrades yet
1x Luke r2d2 shield upgrade
1x Biggs r2d5 stealth device for the 4 defense dice at range 1, 6 at 3 behind an asteroid.

or

1x Chewy with Millennium Faclon
1x Jan ors, recon specialist, blaster turret
1x biggs

I have some other ideas but these seem to be the ones i run the best. What do you guys think?

Second one is prob my fav combo to run, 3 Xwings in general are my favourite combo right now.

Miniswarm with Howl is quite strong, but struggles against full Swarms and has all the weaknesses (cluster missiles, etc.) with none of the advantages (3x more ties.)

3 X is an okay build for casuals but not competitive enough to win tourneys.

Chew/Jan/Biggs is okay, but Jan with blaster turret is a bad idea. You'll be taking tons of stress from your ability, so either take an ion or don't take her, because if your opponent just shoots her first he can easily just get a modified win.

I have seen this video before, but its one sided because the player did not use what he had available to him. He should of never went straight at the tie swarm. and forced the ties to go into the asteroids On the first turn i would of hard left and made the ties cross the field . He also had bigs at 1 and when you initiate you never do that also. You always keep biggs at 2-3 if possible. Never run him up at the beginning. Also, the tie swarm is just combined numbers once you break them up its just a matter of time before you kill them all.

Also, with a falcon you almost always do green maneuvers, and you have biggs in tow so she doesn't get hit usually till mid game. I actually have beaten the 7 tie swarm with that list ever time i have played it...

I've run a variant of list #2 with good results:

Wedge with R2 & Swarm Tactics
Luke with R2D2, Shield Upgrade & Vet Instincts
Biggs with R2F2 & Stealth Device

100 points on the nose.

I prefer VI on Luke for the ability to shoot first in combat. Other players would recommend Draw Their Fire on Luke but, in my case, I never seem to get critical hits when I play this list so DTF tends to be a wasted point for me.
